i dont think my prediction will be far off, if we get comfortably to a 400 lead now with trott and swann they may push to get our innings total to 500 before declaring.

although i think if we lose any wickets within the next 25 runs they will just bat until they bowl us out or declare instantly...

EDIT: 500+ XD its a bit obvious if we get 400 in front that we will only be two runs off 500 :$

Good shot from Swanny there. Lethal with ball and bat.
EDIT: Two good shots

You've just gotta love swannys i dont give a **** attitude to batting ^^)

"swannnnnn, swann will take you apart again"

Excellent chant!

Swanny just does not care haha, look at him swinging.

Lets just bat till lunch, then stick them in and skittle them for >300.

i love that song, i sing a long to it when the BA get it going ^^)

and he's really a joy to watch isn't he, doesn't look all that convincing with it sometimes but thats all part of the fun

one more wicket then declare? or declare now?

Don't declare now. Let us pile up some more runs. A lead of 450 looks a lot more convincing and will scare the Aussies much more.
500-7. Whey!

im really stuck with it tbh, cant form my own opinion, would be nice to rack up even more runs onto the aussies,

although as stated on tv we have worn them down enough and embarrassed them already enough to destroy their confidence once more, and would probably skittle them before they could reach 400.

knowing strauss he wont under run the declaration, he only declares with more than he needs.
so i think Dunc is probably right with whats going to happen

but as a skipper i really dont know what id do...

England have had alot luck in the series, but i guess you need luck to help once in a while. If the Aussies had the luck, the score would be alot different

They should wait until the dark cloud cover comes and bowling will be easy

But with that philosophy comes criticism...

you could say that you make your own luck, and by playing exceptionally well at times we have warranted the rub of the fortunate green.

how weird was that wicket..

They should just slog now and hope for the best. TBF Swann did well

You can say that about most games to be honest. Luck will always be a massive part of a game of cricket, but you have to make your own luck.

If the aussie batsmen wern't acting tarded on the 1st day, slashing at wide balls and stuff, they wouldn't be in the situation they are in.

Ball is swinging. Tremlett will be happy about getting out to the ball swinging. No point declaring now though

we will take that, anderson will be doing that and better soon enough ^^)

come on boys retain the urn :)

Those lunchtime test highlights were epic
