Don't think Mata will go next month we will see what happens in the summer though.

That report is largely based on his whoscored profile. Tackling is not his weakness, and he isn't exactly two footed either. His "Key passes" aren't too good, he prefers to shoot, has lower team work. (I've had a chat with an Inter fan and some scouting reports from WAGNH).

Thought I read somewhere that he has the most key passes this season so far? (edit - in italy). May be wrong. I have not watched him at all this year. Was a good dribbler the last time I did see him though

Just had a quick google and he has 20 key passes this season so far. Not too shabby at all. Low pass completion at 72 percent though

Next fixture Arsenal (A):

Last result away to Arsenal 29/10/13: Arsenal 0-2 (Azpilicueta, Mata) Chelsea.

Last league away result to Arsenal 29/9/12: Arsenal (Gervinho) 1-2 (Torres, Mata) Chelsea.

Biggest win away to Arsenal 11/11/98 (my 10th birthday): League Cup, Arsenal 0-5 (Leboeuf, Vialli X2, Poyet X2) Chelsea. (VIDEO BELOW)

Biggest league win in this fixture 10/5/2009: Arsenal (Fabregas) 1-4 (Anelka, Alex Toure og, Malouda) Chelsea. We have also won 4-1 on two other occasions both coming in 1960!

Game that remains in my memory 4/9/96: Arsenal (Merson, Keown, Wright) 3-3 (Leboeuf, Vialli, Wise) Chelsea. Will always remember the last minute equalizer from Dennis Wise.

Record away to Arsenal (all comps): Played-87, Won-23, Drawn-22, Lost-42, For-115, Against-137.

Record away to Arsenal at the (Emirates Stadium only): Played-8, Won-4 Drawn-2, Lost-2, For-13, Against-6.

My stat of the fixture: Juan Mata has scored 4 goals in only 5 appearances against Arsenal #thorn

Juan Mata is picking up where King Didier left his mantle, against Arsenal.

Why? So he warm the bench? Midfield is the one place Chelsea don't really need to strengthen.

Attacking midfield yes, centre midfield no he would improve us greatly. Could genuinely be our Lampard replacement.

You want Barkley-Jose better offer a hefty sum otherwise he's going nowhere. And that's how it should be if he's going to progress

You'd be horrifically unstable playing Barkley - an attacking midfielder - at central midfield behind a playmaker. Why spend the 25+ million Everton will demand for him when you could drop a fraction of that price on a player who will actually fit your team? It's ridiculous.

the most boring crossbar challenge I think I've ever watched. Every attempt was bad and none of the players were trying to have a laugh whilst doing it.
