As things stand, we look set to miss out on Neymar but I was thinking that 40m for him would be too steep anyways, I think we will be turning our attention to Kun Aguero and hopefully we can tie up a deal for him quickly as we can easily outweigh Juventus' offer and we also offer the possibility of the CL and more trophies than Juventus can tbh, I am also hoping we get Pastore or Modric

I am hoping we can snag 2-3 key players this summer as ours squad is more or less perfect except for a lack of depth that was exposed last season when our key players got injured, hopefully next summer we can get in a new RB too but I just am hoping for a new attacker and a new CM this window

I think AVB will stick with Bosingwa/Ivanovic at RB to be honest, Bosingwa has the raw attributes to work with he just needs to adapt his game better for the BPL and it does help that he's Portugese so if anyone is going to get the best out of him it will be AVB. Also from his time at Academica/Porto he always plays a system with one full back who is offensive and one who's less so and doesn't go forward as much to give cover to the defence (Ivo?).

I do agree mind you, a CM is needed desperately especially when you consider Lamps age and young Josh isn't ready to step up yet imo so someone like Pastore/Diego/Ganso/Hamsik is desperately needed to re energise the midfield. We all know Essien is a tank and if he stays fit he is the best DM minded CM in the world in my opinion.

If the Lukaku deal can get tied up this summer (It will happen eventually it seems like an inevitability about it from recent Anderlechy statements mentioning Chelsea as his preferred choice by a mile) then there's no need to really bring in a new forward if AVB sticks with 4-3-3 we can rotate Drogba, Torres, Anelka and bring Lukaku through. What is desperately needed for me is a RW who is young and skillful rather than Kalou who is definitely good but...not good enough for Chelsea. Maybe someone like a Robben/Ribery sort of character to come in and make the position their own.

And I agree with Alcaraz this summer their needs to be an assessment done by AVB on the players around Chelsea and the players that Gourlay signs simply must be key players rather than players like Ramires who were always going to take a while to settle in.

agree. although Neymar deal has never looked certain anyway, as I knew we wouldnt sign him, for one reason or another.

And if you ask me Kun deal is also doubtful, as he is more of a striker than a winger, and we aint need a striker, however, if we DO need one, i think Falcao is our first choice at this point.. but thats what the papers say.

anyway, my dream signings would be Sanchez & Sneijder as we need more creativity composure and WIDTH!! but wont happen :)

Bosingwa retired, the RB spot is going to be rotated between Iva and Paulo this season... but we need a new RB next season as Iva wont be around forever and Paulo is getting on so we can bleed the new young RB in early, Our CB is more or less covered, Terry and Alex can still go on for a few more seasons and then Brums and Luiz will be ready to step in, PVA will also be covering for Cole this season and Cole can go on for another 3-4 seasons as well, PVA will be bled in slowly

In CM, we got a big problem as the age gap between Josh and Lamps is too wide, Lamps will go on for another 4-5 seasons at best and if he gets injured we are ****** so we need a new CM, hopefully its Pastore or Modric as Pastore can really play alongside Josh as well as both have distinctive playing styles

IN the forwards area, we need to sell Anelka and Kalou, Anelka is too old and there are better players than Kalou and then use this money to finance a deal for a key player like Kun or Neymar.. Sturridge deserves to start next season so if AVB plays 4-3-3, Dani Sturridge will ahve to adapt to the right as both Kun and Neymar are best on the left with Torres through the centre with Malouda, Drogba and Benayoun covering

When did Bosingwa retire?

When did Bosingwa retire?

a few pages back somebody posted an article saying Bosingwa retired which looks possible as he has been troubled by a knee injury for a very long time and he is quite low in the pecking order at Chelsea

Edit: Just realised that article was from the Daily Mail :(

Bosingwa never retired. It would be posted on our website if he did.

It was Belletti who retired not Bosingwa

I dont think we are in for Aguero to be honest. If Boas wants a forward then he will sign Falcao who he knows well and would cost less.

I dont think Boas wants Lukaku, he is going on about playing this attractive football and Lukaku/Drogba type players dont suit that type of play.

but tbh we need someone like Kun who I think can play on the left while Falcao is best through the centre and we already have Torres

And I agree, I doubt we are in for Lukaku anymore as our interest seems to have cooled off massively as soon as AVB took the reins

I personly wouldnt play Kun down the left, we need abit more width and he would naturaly come inside.

lol, there has been more noises coming out of anderlecht than Chelsea I agree but in a 433 neymar is more of a central player so that would be bizarre to turn him into a LW inside forward. Wait and see on Lukaku but for Aguero it would be nice to see him at the bridge. And I remember in a cfc tv interview last season that Bosingwa was going to have knee surgery in the closed season to try and get ready for pre season. I can see him blossoming under AVB, and Lukaku isn't a braisen ST he has an elegant ability like Drogba possesses. Anyone know if Matej Delac has a work permit yet for next season?

Have you seen Neymar play? He likes to drift out to the left

I wouldnt think so, i would expect another loan deal for the lad.

He does but i see him as a striker or playing just behind the striker. He has such great finishing ability playing him out wide would take away so much from his game.

although better get rid of turnbull or hilario(couldnt care less, they both suck) and get Matej as Cech's cover :)

Thats the point Delac hasent got a work permit yet and didnt play a single game for Vitesse last season so somthing tells me he isent ready. Hilario has just signed a new contract so he will stay.
