1st Luiz will leave sooner or later, he aint gonna retire with us, at least thats what i think.
2nd Ganso said he will stay until January because of his desire to play against Barca in the Club World Cup or correct me if im wrong, however, once hes done it, he will be able to leave Santos for AC Milan.

at least that was what i read the other day;]

Oh definitely not retire but I can see him at Chelsea for at least 4-5 years until hes 27/28 and have you seen the way he acts on Chelsea TV etc and with the crowd he is loving life at Chelsea/England.

Definitely wont be leaving Chelsea for a while, plus he was signed for like 20 million with a view for the future and him being central to the Chelsea lineup for the next 5 years so I highly doubt the club will sell him to those jokers in Spain.

OMG........ for crying out loud. r u kiddin me, i dont want this arrogant swaggering son of a cow.

He is a good footballer though no doubt. He would cost 20mill and Pastore would cost double that.

I think its a given that one day Luiz will play for one of Real or Barca. I think he has that swagger to suit them sides but i think he will stay for another 3-5 years yet.

On the Pastore point, Palermo's mental president Zamparini is a business man and has come out every single week for the past year claiming that clubs keep pestering him blah blah blah and he will only sell for 40 million etc. He specifically has named Chelsea's name CONSTANTLY so I would guess they have showed interest but with all these statements he is trying to price up Pastore. He said like yesterday that he is resigned to losing Pastore this summer but only if a 'reasonable' offer came in, I have heard Italian specialist/journalist extraordinaire Gab Marcotti speak about this recently and he gets the feeling that Zamparini is doing this for precisely what I said, to open the market for Pastore and get clubs who would be interested put down firm bids because he is claiming Chelsea have bid x amount etc etc but the crucial thing Marcotti said (And I trust his judgement alot), he said that despite all these astronomical figures Zamparini talks about he would accept 25-30 million pounds for Pastore because he understands the profit for the club/himself and the 40 million is just a PR stunt imo.
This guy came out after news broke of Torres transfer in January and claimed basically you will pay 50 million for an unfit striker but you wont pay 40 for the new Maradonna...Like I said the guy is a PR fiend, I will try and get his latest statement because he comes out with stuff on a daily basis like when he opened up the Ricky Alvarez story deliberately to put pressure on Arsenal to sign him.

Having joked that the clubs interested in Javier Pastore came from Iceland, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has admitted both Chelsea and Juventus are two of the four who have made a move to sign his player.
Pastore is sure to leave Palermo this summer, with the Argentina playmaker rated at €50 million, and although Zamparini is loathe to lose his best player, he admits that his hand will be forced when his value is reached.

"Pastore is a phenomenal player and there are three or four clubs interested in him," said Zamparini. "I am a businessman and I will not lose my cool, but it is clear that clubs who want Pastore must have the economic power to submit a proposal.

"Chelsea are one of the clubs concerned, but we have to wait to see what Villas-Boas, the new coach, decides. The same goes for Juventus, although they are less interested than the English.

"Napoli have also called me to ask for Pastore. I would love him to stay in Italy, but it is very unlikely."

A sub story is claiming that he has had a 50 million euro bid for Pastore and also claims Pastore (The CAM/CM) Is in talks with BARCELONA which is clear codswallop because they have pretty much signed Fabregas...To summarize, Zamparini is a publicity nutjob.

Javier Pastore looks headed for Spain or England after Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini revealed a bid of €50 million has been made for the player.
Pastore, who turned 22 last week, has become one of the hottest properties in European football with his performances for Palermo since moving to the club from Huracan two years ago.

Zamparini refused to be drawn on which club had made the offer, but Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea appear to be his most likely suitors.

He netted 11 Serie A goals from midfield last season, and provided five assists, as Palermo finished eighth in the table.

"There is only a 10% chance that he will stay with us," Zamparini said. "At the moment he is in Argentina preparing for the Copa America and his agent is evaluating three or four offers - but none from Italian sides.

"It's exactly what is occurring at Udinese with Alexis Sanchez. I can also confirm that a foreign club made me a €50m offer yesterday [Tuesday]. What nationality were they? Icelandic ...

"There were Italian sides who wanted him, but you'll have to ask them if they are still interested.

"The player himself has no preference over his next destination. At the moment he is calmly just waiting for us to give him news.

"Pastore is worth more than €50m and in two or three years' time his price will double.

"Is he better than Ganso of Santos? I don't know him very well, but Pastore is worth three or four times more than him.
"

I don't need to say anymore, this guy does all the point proving for me :S

Palermo reveal €50m offer for Javier Pastore - ESPN Soccernet

Apparently Pastore is THREE/FOUR times better of a player than Ganso of Santos...His words.

Exactly, he has been saying all of this la la la fairyland stuff for 12 months even without the transfer window the sort of claims/pressure/expectations hes putting on Pastore as well simply can not be good for the kids development. It's not like hes been at Palermo for years since he was a kid like Fabregas, the guys been there for 2 seasons and is hardly worth 50 million in my opinion and apparently in 3 years time he will be worth 100 million...Madness.

Chelsea 'have bid rejected' for Cech replacement - reports

Chelsea fail in attempt to sign Thibaut Courtois from Racing Genk

who the **** is he?

---------- Post added at 01:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 AM ----------

BTW, 1:45, in 2 hours, starts Argentina - Bolivia. On ESPN i think. i cant make it till then cuz im sleepy. maybe Pastore will be playing, who knows.

Oh my days that would be an awesome start for AVB.

Thibaut Courtois is a ridiculously acrobatic young Belgian GK at Genk, hes on FM on any league loaded db and hes dirt cheap.

I have seen footage of him in videos from the Belgian Pro League, I think this kid is the real deal. Even United looked at him but decided to get De Gea this kid is seriously good as a GK, take a look at this compilation, definitely reminds me of a younger Cech when he had a bit more confidence (Pre Stephen **** kicking his head off),

If they get him he would be a major coup, maybe sign him and let him stay at Genk for one more season on loan then bring him in next summer.

But yeah, I do rate him extremely highly he has all the attributes to be as good/better as Cech or any other Acrobat GK.

All of the saves in the video are definitely cech-esque

Around the 3:36 mark is a world class save that I doubt Reina/Valdes would make, he would genuinely 100 pct solve Arsenals GK problems and would be available I reckon for around 5 million.

omg, ive seen this before, and never realised we are talkin bout the same person, haha fail.

I know him dude, maybe because of his name i havent made the effort to remember it, but yer, definitely know him.

Has there been any recent news on Kevin De Bruyne? I havent seen or heard anything about him for a good 2 or 3 weeks now.

Just found the metro reporting/confirming De Bruyne and Courtois lads,

Pretty much confirmed that Chelsea had been in contact and De Bruyne especially is extremely keen on playing for Chelsea, the structure of both deals however is being controlled by the Genk president who basically has said they can go to CHELSEA (No mention of any other team due to the close ties developed by Arnesen I would guess) but he said that he would not sell and allow them to then be loaned to any other Belgian club (Anderlecht, linked with De Bruyne on loan in exchange to smooth over the Lukaku deal). Now he has basically said IF Chelsea up their bid on Courtois and close the deal with De Bruyne he has said the likelyhood is both players will be loaned back to Genk next season (They are in the Champions League qualifying round so he's sees them equal to Anderlechts stature).

Chelsea bid for Genk keeper Thibaut Courtois but first offer rejected | Metro.co.uk

If Chelsea think he's as good as we think he is they will probably get them both and loan them back, exciting times especially watching videos like that of Courtois.

Franck De Boer quote a few days ago on Van Der Wiel and a couple of other players linked with moves away:

Ajax yet to hear from Arsenal, Man City for Van der Wiel, Vertonghen | Premiership News | tribalfootball.com

Bayern's interest has cooled significantly, I think they would sell him for around 10-11 million pounds (Maybe less), but De Boer said basically we would love to keep them so Ajax are in no rush to sell them but if a significant offer comes in I reckon they'll sell.

I think the thing going on at Chelsea at this very second is AVB is assembling his backroom staff/organising Pre Season and meeting with Chelsea's new chief scout to work out the old targets and if they are viable for him to go for (GVW,Modric etc). But like I said he does prefer a system with one offensive fullback only (He could change, hes a smart man who adapts to personnel available), I think GVW would jump at the chance but the ball is firmly in Chelsea's court and whether AVB thinks he is a target that he would want to bring in.

Looking at it from a personal point of view, long term Chelsea will need a new RB who's young and quick and if Chelsea stall this one out and don't bring in a new younger RB then they might have missed their chance on him depending if Juventus come in for him.

Amazing story I saw in a Turin Gazetta earlier today claiming that Juventus had 'financially outmuscled' Chelsea in the chase for aguero and claimed they had more funds available than Chelsea (Wow). This local paper clearly forgot to mention how Juve were funding this huge rebuilding spree, lots and lots of loans they are heavily in debt and are relying on the new stadium they've built to surplus their debts. But yeah apparently Juventus have more financial power than Chelsea which I found very strange and bizarre coming from a club who were relegated for match fixing only 5 years ago but anyway...oO)

Either they found a gold mine under the stadium or the white thing covering the alps is not snow. Well, not that kind of snow at least.

Read that Cork has signed for Southampton for £750,000.Wasn't he highly rated couple of years back? I remember reading few Chelsea supporters comments that he is dead certain to make it.. What went wrong?

Preaching to the choir with me sunilvk, I still rate/love/adore Jack Cork he's an amazing talent for sure. He grew up to quick without really building on his game too much, 3 years ago when he was on loan at Burnley for the first time he was the real deal but in the progressing years (Mainly at Burnley not Chelsea...), his development has just stalled. Amazes me when I see these ex pros/managers come on TV/Radio and say we don't produce enough technical agile players...Well Cork is one of them and on Southamptons part they have got a real steal at that price. If he catches up his development next season I don't see a reason why next summer he couldn't be worth 10-12 million because the kid has got so much ability.

Anyway will still follow him in his career because I really like the lad alot but on the bright side we do still have McEachran in the ranks and he looks like a fine player/prospect anyway.

This is the reason why I am not yet getting too excited about McEachran. I have already had high hopes for 3 youngsters in recent years ( Mancienne, Sinclair and Cork) but none have made it.
