Can we stop filling this thread with ****?

We have a huge game vs PSG tomorrow, a large number of youngsters with incredible potential showing their talent across the continent, some form of stability, an actual pivot, Torres finally being linked to an exit and a big new striker arriving in a few months, and all you guys can talk about is Mourinho?

Actually if you remember correctly (which you won't because when one has a dislike of Jose they forget key things) Jose has been saying Liverpool are ones to watch as far back as Christmas time. Was something which was bought up and remembered on BBC5live last weekend.

Was that when we were top?

Yeah i bought that up but its different for them because they "never expected to be where they are now". How is that different! The fact is they unlike Chelsea do have the title in their hands which is something we have not had yet this season. Now this is double standards!

Oh my god I can't believe what I'm reading. You are literally the worst and most thick fans I have ever come across. Rodgers hasn't been doing what mourinho does. He's stating his mind as we've CLEARLY been over-achieving this season. Anyone who thinks Liverpool are doing as expected is a dimwit (probably a chelsea fan will say we are).

Man City were odds on favorites returning 3.4 at the start of the season, while Chelsea were on 3.45. Shall I let you know what Liverpools were? It was over 30, and had two other teams between Chelsea and them.

Hasn't Brendan Rodgers been doing the exact same thing as above in recent months?

Yeah, but whilst we don't exactly have players on tiny wages, no one actually expected us to get top four this season. I certainly didn't, I thought after the summer we'd finish about 6th. Even when we were top at christmas we never realistically expected us to finish in the top three.

Doesn't matter what anyone expected, the reality now is you are serious contenders and have been for a while. Top of the league at Christmas, unbeaten this calender year (13 matches), while having a strike partnership that will score a combined 50+ goals. 9 times out of 10 you should win the league with that sort of fire power.

Rodgers playing down his chances in recent months is no different to Mourinho doing it. I don't really agree with either doing it but you can't have a rule for one then completely ignore the other.

Guess that's the price you have to pay with Mourinho. People all too happy to take the **** and make fun of Chelsea when things don't go our way despite the fact that the clubs they support isn't exactly setting the world alight either. Best thing to do is to ignore them like I have been doing

I'm not saying Rafa's better, but he deserves more respect for his achievements in half a season, whereas Mourinho has been getting far too much praise for his achievements this season. It's a case of double standards, as with the digs at Wenger.

Most rational CFC fans gave Rafa due credit for his achievements ... So I don't see your point here

But there is a slight difference between Rodgers' one game at a time comments, and Mourinhos "nah, we're not and never were in it, maybe next year lol".

Wrong. All Mourinho said was that 'Chelsea are not favourites, City are'. Not once did he say that Chelsea are not in the title race. He simply said that it wasn't the priority this season and it would be the next season. Get your facts right before coming on here and spouting nonsense

This sums it up with Jose:

Mourinho's act grows old

If it is the case that when you are tired of Jose Mourinho, you are tired of life, please send me to Switzerland immediately. Once an iconoclastic young blade intent on kicking sand in the establishment?s eyes, he?s matured into the sort of pub bore you?ll switch pubs to avoid. His insistence that Chelsea are underdogs, outsiders, little horses or tentative squirrels is the most tiresome meme of the season.

PA PhotosMourinho wrote off Chelsea's title hopes after Saturday's defeat.

On Saturday, Mourinho became the first manager ever to "give up" on the title when his team was at the top of the table with six games left to play. ?I don't think now we can win the league,? he burbled after Chelsea were beaten at Crystal Palace.

- Brewin: Three Things - Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea
- Lythell: Chelsea's hopes crumble

It?s really not. It?s the most open season in years and Chelsea have six games left; one against Liverpool and five against teams in the bottom half. Yes, Manchester City have more games in hand, but they?re all squeezed into a shorter time period and fatigued slip-ups are likely.

It?s all such palpable wiffle. No, this was never as easy a job as it seemed. If Chelsea?s squad is any kind of horse then it is one that was assembled by committee and that ended up looking like a camel. Chelsea are paying the price for seven years of flux and cursing a lack of joined-up thinking.

But they are hardly paupers. Even without a noted striker -- and it?s worth remembering that the three they do have, Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba, are on monstrous wages -- they boast some of the best young attacking midfielders on earth and a defence that could usually withstand a tornado.

Jose, if you?re reading this: We get it. You?re trying to relieve the pressure on your players while simultaneously convincing your boss to let you have a go on his credit cards. There are undiscovered tribes in Papua New Guinea who get it. Please, stop treating us like idiots.

Such an awful article that is clearly written by someone whose judgement is clouded by Anti-Mourinho sentiments ...

Firstly the article mentions that Jose gave up on the league title despite being top of the league. Yes Chelsea are top of the league but Man City are only a few points behind with games in hand. They are also on an excellent run of form and the league is the only competition they have to concentrate on. In short, they have their destiny in their own hands (unlike Chelsea) and are odds on favourite to win the league. Just simplmy mentioning that Chelsea are top does not PROVE ANYTHING

Yes Chelsea do have 5 games left against teams from the bottom half. The article conveniently ignores the fact that these are exactly the type of teams which Chelsea have struggled to beat. I rather have the last 6 games against United, City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton honestly!

Article also mentions how City may suffer from fatigue. A ridiculous point tbh. Firstly, they have the biggest and best squad in the league with enough rotation options. Dzeko is their third-choice striker for **** sake. They also only have the league to concentrate on

Not sure how mentioning that Torres, Ba or Eto'o are on huge wages proves anything. Fact is that Chelsea DO NOT have a competent striker which has and continues to greatly affect their performances on the pitch. A great striker can cover up the cracks in a team by himself as evidenced by RVP's heroics for United last season

In short, if the article accuses Mourinho of treating people like idiots then clearly the writer who wrote this pile of **** is on the same level

I didn't say you were drowning in self pity. I said for a club that has such a strong squad, I find it surprising that you've all been happy with a 3rd place finish from the start of the year. "Not writing yourselves on" as Cjacko put it..

There was last year. Show me a United fan who was satisfied with second at any point in the season.

Moyes stopped talking anything positive about the league/CL in January when it became totally ludicrous to do so. And one of our main gripes with Moyes has been his negativity in the media. I'd much rather, and expect the United manager to come out and say we're going to give it every single bit we've got to try and win it than have some defeatist attitude from the moment go.

1. We are NOT happy with a 3rd place finish. Please find me any post by a CFC fan who posted that he is happy with finishing top 3. We are happy with other non-tangible improvements over the course of the season within the club that has been repeated over and over (ie. improvements in certain players, clear identity) which you have been happy to ignore

2. Last season was also when City exploded internally due to Mancini's shenanigans. City have been so much more stable under Pelligerini

3. Good for you. I have no problem if the Chelsea manager comes out and calls the situation as it is. No need to impose your own personal views on us

Its hilarious it really is. When Chelsea fans used to be upset and call for a managers head over his lack of trophies, other fans would jump on us saying how we need to give managers time. For the first time in the Roman era, when Chelsea fans are willing to afford this time to a manager then other fans are jumping on us saying how we need to be more sad at winning 0 trophies. Ridiculous

Wow, that's not whats been said at all. Way to spin. Clearly been learning from Jose.

This **** needs to stop. Red community posts **** about this football club and we need to accept that? In this thread? **** off.

What I've summed up from all of this is that it doesn't really matter what you say to the Chelsea fans. Mourinho has you in the palm of his hands.

If Chelsea do not win the league then he'll say he never said he would win it, and you will all agree with him and say next year is your year.

But if Chelsea do win the league then he'll be labelled a genius and his 'mind games have prevailed again'.

I mean it's brilliant entertainment for the rest of us. But you're all surely not this stupid?

Was that when we were top?

I cannot remember, but i'll tell you not many people were predicting Liverpool would be in the race back then that's a fact.

Oh my god I can't believe what I'm reading. You are literally the worst and most thick fans I have ever come across. Rodgers hasn't been doing what mourinho does. The difference is that was then! This is now when Liverpool have overachieved this season so you can't base this on odds at the start of the season its what is happening now!

Because of Jose's successful past if we haven't won 4 trophies before September he will be questioned! Just the way it is.

But there is a slight difference between Rodgers' one game at a time comments, and Mourinhos "nah, we're not and never were in it, maybe next year lol".

As i said right from the start i fully expect us to win the Premier League next season because the squad will be much more completed. If we end up winning the league this season then most of us will say "its a year sooner than expected" nothing to do with "mind games".

It's quite hilarious that just because Jose is known to play the odd mind game that every other opposition fan thinks everything he says must be one. From day 1 back in this job he laid down his plans and he has not changed his mind all the way through even when we were 9 points clear of City.
