Someone has ****** up big time..

But if his name is Luis Suarez then Liverpool should sell him eh? Disgrace to football eh? Shouldn't be allowed in the premier league eh?

I never said anything about Suarez not being in the PL or slated his style of play. My opinion on divers is they get what's coming to them because there has been a lot of times Suarez has not got legitimate penalties because of his reputation. When i was asked by someone a little while ago (fellow Chelsea fan) what is Costa like i said think Suarez but without the racism and biting and i still stand by that. As most Chelsea fans have said they despised Costa after the 2 legs against us but its one of them isn't it that you would love it if he was doing it for you.

I really hope we are not that stupid as to offer Lukaku for Costa.

Why would we do that? 32million is his buyout clause and a cheap one (if you compare it to other potential strikers) so we will just pay that.

What kind of thoughtful discussion do you expect when bulk of content around here is 'Mourinho is God, best season ever, everything went better then expected', even though this is actually his worst season in 11 years and Roman booted managers off the job for less. When people are afraid to acknowledge reality because of celebrity worship, the only thing left to do is to pour gasoline and set things on fire.

Erm not one Chelsea fan i know has said "best season ever" or even "went better than expected". For me the season was average and we done exactly what i expected. And i suspect your one of the ones who slate Chelsea and our fans when we go through 2 managers a season but now we want to give someone time you want us to boot him out. Double standard.

For once i would love to put the money spent on the young talent to good use.
CB: Kalas, Zouma
Mid: Baker, Chalobah, v Ginkel , Swift, McEachran (I think his debut was against Newcastle? The guy was flying on the pitch. I was really impressed.)
If we keep buying world class players for every position we are not covered, then the academy is useless and they better shut it down, because it's just a waste of time, money and talent.

Had Mourinho won something this year, then that could have been more of a possibility. With him not winning anything this year (I'm just stating fact, mind, not taunting), and playing a style of play which Abramovich doesn't really like, I think the major aim of next year will be to get some silverware rather than integrating youngsters into the squad.

Ironically, Chelsea have some really talented youngsters in their youth ranks (whether through academy or buying from clubs w/e), but they also have the least number of those youth making the first team (Terry was last, methinks?). Mainly because, once Abramovich took over, there has been no managerial stability, thus having a humungous impact on the youth. If a manager doesn't have some job security, then he won't try to give youth a chance, as he'll be trying to win everything to maximise the chance of remaining in the job. Plus, different managers prefer different types of players - hence leaving many players in a lurch when a coach is replaced.

More to the point, I highly doubt Chelsea will be giving more youth a chance this season. Mourinho's season of consolidation is over, and now he'll be looking to win stuff in order to secure his position more firmly before thinking about giving youth a chance. Maybe the season after that?

Also, the fact most people seem to totally ignore is, we haven't really had this bright crop of youngsters in our academy in Abramovich era before.

And that is exactly the reason i have been saying! I do think some young lads will be part of the squad next season to make up the numbers. I reckon Kalas is a dead cert.

Another thing i agree with, look back at the past young players how many are playing at a similar level? How many could offer Chelsea something?

Tbh the development of the majority of our loanee's this season has been quite disappointing. Chalobah never really lived up to expectations after a brilliant loan spell at Watford last season. McEachran looks nowhere near being good enough for Chelsea. Piazon dovetailed badly after an excellent first 6 months. PVA was solid if unspectacular. That said, Lukaku and Courtois had glorious' seasons and I hope to see them in blue next year ...

[h=1]Samuel Eto'o brands Jos? Mourinho 'a fool' for questioning his age[/h]
Eto'o told africanfootball.com: "Thanks for informing me that it will be my last World Cup. Today, I am 33 years old. And it is not because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it.
"And you may have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters. Some believe I am going to retire in the United States or in the Middle East, but I have regained the joy of the Champions League and I am going to carry on playing in the Champions League. Where? I am not going to tell you.
"But I am going to carry on playing because physically and mentally I feel great. So I am going to go to this World Cup and to the next one when I will be 37. Some did it at 42, so I can still play in two more World Cups."

Contract expires and now he can say whatever he wants.

True, the only decent/good player we had was Betrand. But for some time now, our youth team is pretty much the best in the country. I seriously doubt they achieved what they did with average players at best. I am not saying we should use 5-6 18 years old kids. That would be pretty stupid. But i believe some are at the age where they can only take the big step or fade away. IMO Baker and Kalas are one of those players.
Yes we need a striker, we can't rely only on Lukaku (if we keep him), and a LB if Cole is released, but the rest of the positions are covered, and if needed, strengthened by highly rated young players.

That's one reason my decision regarding getting a proper CM to partner with Matic, changes everyday. Baker, Swift, RLC, Chalobah, MvG & Pasalic is rated very highly too(by Emenalo of course). As it stands, only Mikel and Lampard will be leaving, Mourinho doesn't like to rotate all that often and Ramires-Matic seem set to be first choice pivot, we could certainly rotate Ramires, Matic with Chalobah & MvG (In Cup games), and he was great in 12-13 campaign if not this one.

Baker could use some experience on loan, so could RLC. Let's see.

If Eto'o is cheesed off with Jose then i actually do not blame him. I think you saw in the press-conference after this came out Jose looked hurt, embarrassed, his ego dented and he was questioning his faith in everyone. He never wanted or thought this would come out even if it was tongue in cheek.

I think Kalas is ready for first team contention i.e doesn't need anymore loans but i think a loan deal for Baker and Swift would be brilliant for them both, its obvious they have out-grown the academy and U21 league.

.

I agree. It looked like a tongue in cheek comment and something you just joke with your friends, shame it was recorded without his approval and published.

I have one word and one word only. RODRIGUEZ!!!!!!

Let me tell you something Carl. I would much rather have Rodriguez than any other left back in the league. I only rate Alaba higher and I'm not sure if I should.

Alaba is better, but that's no slight on Rodriguez. He's properly good.
