Anyone else concerned by Costa's repeated hamstring strains this season?

Dare I say we might have another Torres on our hands..? Having said that, Costa's game isn't a solely reliant on pace as Torres' was so it shouldn't be as big of a problem.

Would you rather have Mandzukic (who would be fantastic in England I must say) or Costa? Heart and head type of thing.

I'm a little concerned but as what cZeur said his game isn't pace related so maybe less of a problem. Probably could do with the whole summer off to recover properly. I'd take either of them to be honest. One of them Lukaku and Torres was the 3 strikers will make me happy.

Personally i would go for Mandzukic. Costa had 1 good season, Mandzukic already proved he is a great striker. I am not calling Costa weak/poor, but i think Mandzukic would adapt faster too the PL, since the Bundesliga is not that different, compared to La Liga.

He's playing fuckton of games this year, it probably never had a chance to fully heal. Atletico were definitely gambling with his health.

Which to be fair is what Liverpool done with Torres. Constantly played him and he suffered with hamstring injuries but as we said Costa doesn't rely on his pace like Torres did.

Well he's most probably not going to get that what with the little matter of a World Cup and all, unfortunately.

Diego Costa isn't your standard Spanish striker though, or Brazilian for that matter. He seems more than capable of putting up with the roughness handed out by defenders and dishes out a fair bit of his own. Strong, good in the air, good movement and very direct; on the face of it he seems like a perfect fit for English football. True he isn't as good a dribbler as some other Premier League strikers are, but his willingness to go at pace at the back line will surely cause problems.

It'll be interesting to see how good his link-up play is since in the few occasions that I've watched him he seems to be lacking in this department.

All in all, I'd be very excited if he came to Chelsea, and fingers crossed he'd be better than our favourite Nando ;)

Diego Costa is a great fit for Chelsea, as much as I hate to say it.. Jose has the perfect striker for him.

Also I think you should keep Ashley Cole as he is still a great LB and I've heard people say he still wants to stay.. considering he hasn't got much game time this season that's pretty loyal.

He's also helped Azpi settle in at left back, and Azpi has been heaping praise on him. I think his departure is fairly certain ATM and he was pretty lacklustre and /bad/ at start of the season. That 2-0 loss to Newcastle away was pretty horrible, he was walking back when whole team was in trouble, at times. That saw him relegated to the bench, along with his injury.

Alex Sandro/Alberto Moreno/Rodriguez would do.

Take Sandro, but don't take the latter two - we need them! :P

That would be an excellent bit of business

Terrific business honestly. We already have a ready-made replacement in Zouma coming in. It also free's up money for us to go after Costa, a LB and a CM to complement Matic

Ready made in the sense that he plays one of the same positions yes. He isn't nearly as good as Luiz and offers something quite different. Not that this is bad business mind, but we it's not as if we're losing nothing through this sale.

This. Also like to point out that at the start of season people were pointing out that Luiz had been offered out, and it was rubbished by several Chelsea fans on here. Clearly Jose had intentions from the start for both Mata and Luiz to go.
