Well I trust your judgement, cuz I simply havent seen much of him, maybe as many as 5 games.. but Im hearing a lot of good things about him.
aye he looks a likely transfer target as AVB knows him well having managed him obviously and AVB was the one who brought him to Porto so I am quite sure he will take a look at Moutinho
definitely not. he is turning 31 in october, as far as I remember, we need refreshment, dont we? better keep Mikel and play him as holding midf. Mikel is a hardworker too, and has absolutely brilliant passing. especially long-range.
He is hardworking but lacks concentration at times in big games and the play waves him by at times.

I feel great about being a Blues fan cuz not many people do so like Man Utd or Arsenal which for me is different and diferrent is good.
i think we will play great under Villas Boas this season but only if we get new signings! i really want to get modric , moutinho and falcao. keep lampard and malouda and sell drogba, anelka, zhirkov, hilario and mikel.
yes i think chelsea signing torres was a great decision. he may have had a bad season but i think when he gets a pre season under his belt and hits top form he could be the prem's golden boot winner.
no i cant see drogba stayin next season. we will only get the best out of torres if we sell drogba.
i think we will sign falcao and moutinho and pastore. i would rather have modric but thats now a fading memory.

Mikel is not good enough to replace Essien.

Sensible move would be to sign M'Villa/Sissoko from France, Asamoah at Udinese is a good shout long term but he is one season short of being the finished article imo.
If he is going to replace Essien this summer it should not be with Mikel, Javi Martinez is available and Moutinho would join but his clause of 24 million euros is a bit of a steep investment.
I would suggest one of the above but no solid whispers/links have been coming out of Chelsea for days not until AVB starts getting his targets anyway which would be in the next 2 weeks I would say then things will start coming out/moving along.
Also Atletico Madrid president came out a few days ago claiming they want Genk GK Courtois as their replacement for De Gea but he said ''obviously it is all down to Chelsea'' since we have first option on him/De Bruyne but if we don't seal the deal it proves that other clubs are out there and if somehow this deal gets *cked up and AM sign him and he blossoms like I expect him to he will be a world class keeper in a few years time no doubt about it.
We sat on our hands long enough, time for Sousa/AVB to go out there and identify their targets and begin the process of selling/buying players because the current Chelsea squad needs new blood especially on the wings and a replacement for Essien.

Honigstein has also confirmed the earlier suspicions I had a few weeks ago about Chelsea negotiating for Marin from Bremen for around 8-10 million euros.

Essien is out, its obvious enough. We just MUST to find a decent replacement. Is Moutinho suitable enough for that position? or he is more attacking-minded?

Sounds like huge movement on this story, sounds like the fine print is the only hold up to a bid being officially accepted and the player moving.

Moutinho is a DLP,
Very accomplished defensively and a great work engine, he played DM for a season or two at SPORTING CP but always has played it as more of a deep lying playmaker good at defending...
I think Ramires has all the attributes to step into the DM role personally, just needs to reign in the bursts forward because he is a good tackler/runner and the guy can run all day and sticks to people like glue.

Because Moutinho will cost 24 million, and Chelsea wont have factored in buying a replacement for Essien into their budget, remember they will still have one eye on FFPR, as will all other clubs. And i said may, not should
I hope we get Lukaku, but we cancelled a meeting with him about the move and haven't contacted him since (as far as I'm aware). There's still a good chance though and it's a long summer, so we shall see.

And on your earlier point about Mikel. I completely disagree; very underrated and I think if he's playing every week (like the start of last season when he was our best player IMO) then he will be more than capable to make the CDM spot his own. I personally think we should be looking at a playmaker but not really CDM. Personally I'd like either Pastore or Moutinho (who could play the CDM spot when needed, as you said).
