Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Long way to go till the title. 7 points clear is an excellent position but we have lost it before

Meh, he is 32 in May. He will be starting to decline. I won't be surprised if he doesn't get a new contract.

Decline? He is not only a physical beast but exceptional player technically. One of the reason why he is unplayable. For a team that spend a billion it's embarrassing that they can't win a game without Yaya.

Title is Chelsea's to lose, should be easy from now on as Chelsea have easiest fixtures.

Also City are not safe at all, if they continue like this it wouldn't be long before they are pulled into battle for 4th.

It really isn't ours to lose. We built up the 7 point lead in 4 games. It can easily be eroded in the next 14. Remember that City won their last two titles by coming from behind

Also for the 'easiest' fixtures ... Not really sure that theory works for the EPL where even Hull can match City on their day. Every game is tough

Not trying to be a pessimist, just realistic. Hard to draw any conclusions at this stage. Remember the time we all thought United won the title when they had a 5 point lead with 3 games to go or something silly like that

Decline as in he will become less of an unstoppable beast he is/used to be. He relies on stamina and physicality, 2 of the attributes that depend on age. 32 and onwards, it becomes harder to keep those. Why am I ELI5-ing this?

7 point lead is nothing. We've had bigger leads than that and we've managed to lose them. I am far from relaxed. 2 hard away games against bottom 10 sides and there you ******* go. As Jose said, in another league that's huge but here it's nothing. AND NO, HE ISN'T PLAYING MIND GAMES.

In the Spanish League, that's practically game over already. It means nothing in he EPL. Maybe when we have 3 games to go and a 7 point lead then we'll talk

Not going to do a massive write up just want to make us all have some perspective. When our line-up is revealed an hour before the kick-off time there is so much criticism towards Jose and yesterday was no exception. Yesterday it was aimed at the inclusions of Drogba and Cahill and i had quite a long discussion/argument with another Chelsea fan who was incensed that Cahill was starting and that he was and i quote "dog ****" and he would rather have Chris Smalling!!!!

I agreed that he had been quite poor this season and was obviously on a bad run of form, i do think when Fabregas plays that leaves him exposed at times especially as Ivanovic loves to go walkabout. But all that aside he has made basis errors but he deserves us to keep faith with him. Yesterday for me he was faultless as his numbers suggest.

Pass Completion: 86.3 - 4th best for us.
Number of Passes: 51 - 4th most for us.
Interceptions - 1 - 3rd best for us.
Clearances - 13 - Best for us by 6!
Blocked Shots - 1 - Joint best with JT.
Fouls - 0
Aerials won - 4 - Best for us.
And a headed clearance from near enough under our own bar in the 1st half!

The point of this is just to say we need to support these players more, yes he had been playing poorly of late but that was always going to end. Yesterday it was more of the Cahill we all wanted to captain England and possible candidate to take our armband when JT retires too.

7 points clear no way guarantees us the title but what it does to is question Man City and our squads mentality in how much do we both want this. I fully expect us to be lifting that trophy in May and actually predicted we would win it at the beginning of last season. But expect a bumpier ride than we think because we will drop points, its just the Chelsea way like Aston Villa finally scoring a goal after 87 million years without one!

UTC!!!

May I ask what you were smoking?

Gary Cahill was much better yesterday. Hopefully the start of him rediscovering his form from last season.

Schurrle looked very good for Wolfsburg yesterday.

Glad to see him doing well. I wish it worked out for him at Chelsea but just plain bad luck I suppose. He will thrive being the centre-piece of a counter-attacking outfit such as Wolfsburg

These posts are always done on Chelsea pages on Facebook and i copy and paste them on here so its coming from my point of view i.e a Chelsea fan. Plus he's vice captain so if i'm smoking something its quite light, maybe a menthol.

The technique on that volley is quite ******* ridiculous always did like Shirley

It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out all he needed was a kick in the *** like de Bruyne. The only thing that bothered me about Schurrle (ignoring his form this season), was his constant desire to shoot it from a mile away into the goal. Had enough with Meireles.

He seemed perfectly motivated at Chelsea. I think he'll do a lot better at Wolfsburg because he'll be able to play on his favoured left side again.

He needed regular game time and a burst of confidence to regain his form which he will probably find at Wolfsburg. Sad that he started the season so poorly and didn't really show up in the limited chances he was given but then again, we can't afford to keep giving minutes to a player in poor form for a club that wants to win it all

Schurrle will undoubtedly move to another top club soon, of that I am sure

Jose gonna have a lot to answer for if you **** up the title race, that's for sure.

And Schurrle always seemed to suffer from severe case of Sturridgegitis.
