Talk about jumping the gun ... Its only been a few weeks since he came to England. At least give Cuadrado 6 months before passing judgement on him. Worst still, he came mid-season and didn't even have preseason with the team
I agree but from watching him for last 3 seasons this is what my opinion is based on. Might work out here, but wont be suprised if not.

Cuadrado is a very good player and sort of player liked by most managers because he is very versatile. Excellent wingback, very good dribbler and a decent goal threat too. His work rate is immense, just that he is still adapting to the league and hardly got any mins to showcase his talent.

Physically he is not strong which can be improved easily, looks like Cuadrado is signed for next season wherein he can adapt to the league slowly like we did with Vidic and Evra.
Very versatile yes but way to inconsistent to be a top player imo. Can be an amazing pacey player with a good shot but then can run like bamby on ice and not hit a barn door with a banjo. Can honestly see him being a Gervinho and Nani type player. Would be better for Mou to convert him fully to FB imo.

Wingers are inconsistent because they are flair players and tries to open up defense more than any other players. Valencia was consistent but consistently average and never tried anything that took some balls to do it, whereas players like Nani, Cuadrado will attempt that. Give me those players who tries and create chances than players like Valencia who are consistent but never tries anything out of box.

I agree but his end product more often than not is disappointing and can see lot of Chelsea fans being disappointed/frustrated by this. And tbh cant see him starting many games ahead of the likes of Willian and Hazard.

Next 5 games:

QPR - Chelsea

Chelsea - Man Utd

Arsenal - Chelsea

Leicester - Chelsea

Chelsea - Palace

We need a final push. These 5 games pretty much get it done.

If we can get at least 11 points out of these games, it's game over.

It's over and was over long time back. The moment City started dropping points it was over as it was far too much for Arsenal or ManUtd to catch Chelsea after such a lead.

At max Arsenal can reach 84 points, so all Chelsea need is 15 points from 8 games. That less than 2.0 PPG.

I remember a couple of seasons ago when United had a 6-7 point lead with 4 games to go and everyone was congratulating them on a title win. We all know what happened eventually. Famous last day with Aguero's winner

It ain't over till we actually have our hands on the trophy and I am sure that's what Mourinho will be telling the team. No **** ups now especially when we are so close

Anyways who do you all think we should get in the summer? I feel a world-class attacking midfielder to complement Hazard is a must. Would be nice if we got in a solid back-up for Matic and a good CB as well

Maybe see you trying for Varane even though I think Zouma and Terry could be beastly with Cahill as back up. Maybe Pogba like lot of teams will be doing also and Reus even though he said he is happy and with a new contract, but cant think of to many top AMCs available bar De Bruyne.

We potentially have a world-class attacking midfielder in Oscar he just needs to sort out his consistency because for the past two seasons he's looked unplayable in one match and then goes on a long run of looking extremely average.

However the one thing I'd like to see next season is Aké being given more of a chance, every time I've seen him play he looks more than capable of doing the job Matic does and if he did perform at an acceptable level I'd get rid of Mikel, I still don't know how he's at the club I cannot stand him.

As for transfers in I can't argue with what Theatreof Dreams said, Pogba and Varane all day long, but if we can't get Pogba I'd like to see us go after Koke instead. Maybe another striker but then again a decent one would cost £20m+ and I'd rather see the money spent elsewhere.

Koke most probably won't be leaving Atleti soon, atleast the trend seems to look that way. He's a key player at his boyhood club, and he likes it there. And you'll still probably need a striker, Drogba won't be on the same level, and if Costa pops an injury, Remy is the only acceptable backup.. Unless you give youth a chance. I dunno who Chelsea's best prospect at ST is anyhow.. I expect Loftus-Cheek to probably get a few games next season, dunno about Ake..

Like you say I doubt Koke will be moving anytime soon but if Pogba isn't an option I'd still like us to give it a go. No doubt we'll need another striker next season and if it were to be a youth player it'd most likely be Izzy Brown because I can't see Bamford getting a chance and to be honest his best option is to sign for Boro, but I'm not particularly bothered who's given a chance just as long as someone is.
