I'll take a friendly wager on that, that he won't do much more than what he did at Utd.

The injury has taken it's toll and he was nevert suited to the Premier League to start with IMHO.
Okay then a friendly wage :) We never used our STRs well enough last season, they were starved of the ball and any good service.

Injuries have taken its toll, yes, but Falcao was just woeful for us - blame it on lack of confidence, lack of form w/e. But he's had a season to adapt to the PL, and Mou has been a fan of Falcao from a while, so it could be a match made in heaven.

On the other hand, Chelsea have kinda had a bad record with strikers (Torres and Schevchenko), and have had a bad record with talented players who have been woeful for United (Veron), so it'll be interesting to see either way.

As you say it could go two ways, really good or... Torres, hence why a lot of Chelsea fans are sceptical. But even if we sign Falcao for £25m and he has another **** season, we wouldn't take a massive hit on him. I think at the prices being quoted he's worth the risk.

A UN PASO. El traspaso de Radamel Falcao al Chelsea sería por €35M y está por confirmarse en las próximas horas.

This is a verified account found posted by a Chelsea fan and his comment.
If this is true and we not only buy him permanently but for nearly £30m that's absolute madness. Unless José sees something no one else does.

€35m is closer to £26m. Also SkyBet have suspended betting on Falcao's next team as the deal to join us is very close to being completed.

Oh god... this better not be real

I honestly don't see the problem with us signing Falcao for the rumoured £25m, nowadays £25m is chump change. Yes he's had a pretty terrible season for his standards at United, but equally they didn't really play to his strengths and he's been feeding of scraps with them. You'd imagine with the likes of Hazard and Fabregas playing in behind him he'd have much more goalscoring opportunities then at United and Falcao's off-the-ball movement is definitely still there he just needs the service, but most importantly some confidence.

I'm certain at £25m he'll be a good bit of business for us, he may not necessarily be the Falcao that tore us apart in Monaco but I doubt he'll be another Torres.

If we get Griezmann, Cuadrado is a goner.

Done myself a little research and if i'm not wrong you cannot play for 3 different clubs in 1 calender year so if i'm right there is no way Cuadrado will leave this window

He will get Maloudaed then. Oh, wait. We have Jose. That's a no then.

I don't see much wrong with the Falcao deal if true

Lets face it, I doubt he can be worse than Drogba was this season. At the very least, he will be a big personality in the dressing room and his work ethic is superb which will surely inspire the youngsters. Plus we have Costa and Remy anyways. At best, he could potentially be devastating so huge upside and very little downside with this deal

Only downer is his wages and fee. Not ideal but we are rolling in cash atm so meh

Chelsea legend Cuadrado leaving, surely they'll be retiring the shirt.

Falcao is about as likely to bang 40 goals next year as he is to be next Torrers. The fan excuses to both of them are hilariously similar. He doesn't get service, oh but he works hard, he needs time to gel with the squad, just needs to build his confidence, and so on.

As a United fan i've had it all season on here and elsewhere with excuse after excuse about why he was so *****.

But when he has had opportunities at united he's failed to take them, every single time. He has done absolutely nothing to prove he's worth his wages or fee. I don't see why we don't sign someone proven, who's actually had a good season for that money...

It doesn't really matter though. If he flops then we still have two great strikers in Costa and Remy. However if he finds form, good luck to everyone else

If he flops, it will be somewhere around 40mil. spent on warming benches. I hereby offer myself to do the same thing for half the price. A quarter is the lowest I will go for.

Not to mention that he will be a backup. We got Remy for what, 10-15mil? That is the price of a backup player, and his wages are sure as **** not above 100k/week.

As people have mentioned before this could go one of two ways (Just like any other signing), he could finally find his form and bang in goals for us or he'll be the next Torres. I understand why people are skeptical, however we really wouldn't take a massive hit on him, we'd rake in a **** ton of money from shirt sales alone. If he does find his form again then you know everyone will be saying what a great bit of business from us again and if not he'll be our next big flop of a striker. I think at £25m and lower wages the possible reward far outweighs the risk in this case.

Why? Why not sign someone actually good? Lacazette, Gignac, Meier? They've all had better seasons, and would all be far far cheaper.
