So much feels with Cech gone. Chelsea better buy a world class player to give me some closure

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: José Mourinho was right over Chelsea criticism | Football | The Guardian

Good to see. If he continues to work hard then we won't have to bunk silly money signing Pogba. RLC can be a class player for Chelsea and England in 3-4 years if he continues on this trajectory

Personlly think RLC has got the making to become a great player, not going to say I've seen tons of him but I was really impressed with him in England U21's in the last game when he came on, looked a level above everyone else.

Wouldnt worry about Pogba, I think the Spanish clubs have their dirty hands all over him already, no coincidence he's suddenly happy to stay at Juventus another season. For me he's waiting going to Barcelona.

@bbcsport_david Reports Arsenal have signed Petr Cech are premature. Negotiations but currently no deal in place #AFC #CFC

I don't think RLC can reach Pogba's level. That doesn't mean he can't be excellent for us though. Optimistic.

He will reach Pogba's level although he obviously does not have the same sort of potential. Nonetheless, as you said, he can be a really top player for us and save us splurging on a world-class midfielder

@SkySportsNewsHQ BREAKING: Sky Sources: Arsenal agree £10.9m fee with Chelsea for Petr Cech. #SSNHQ

Decent fee considering how little time he has left on his contract.

I want to be annoyed about this, and in some ways I am. I don't want to see him in an Arsenal shirt, I certainly don't want to see him break the clean sheets record in it, and we really should not be selling direct rivals a WC keeper. But...

He sat on the bench the entire year, just in case. I don't think a great keeper like Cech is going to do that unless he had assurances from the club, assurances about him being able to choose his destination without interference when he was done. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I think it was the right course of action from the club overall. Packing him off to PSG last year would have been a huge risk and we would have been rightly ridiculed if Courtois had failed to adapt to the PL.

As for the man himself, can't begrudge him. His family is settled in London and we're basically trading him in for a newer model. He doesn't owe us anything and this is the only way for him to stay in the city and break the record. Best of luck to him, outside of the pitch anyway.

Real Madrid are a laughing stock, they've sacked that many managers they are going to have to start grovelling to get ones they have sacked back or take risks on second-tier managers.

Well who really are the first-tier managers that are available and would be willing to manage Madrid?

Guardiola will obviously never go there. Ditto Simeone. Mourinho has just been sacked. Ancelloti has been failing in the league. Madrid have no choice but to try second tier managers and out of them, Benitez and Klopp were the best available

You are posting in the team's thread that did exactly that :P

Hiring Rafa and rehiring Jose

Could see Mourinho being tempted to go back eventually. They're the only club he's really "failed" at, can't imagine that sits well with his ego.

Not sure, his family really didn't like it there and even Mourinho had a terrible time with media and fans

Sadly that's never gonna' happen as they're still by far and away the biggest football club on the planet.

You take on the Madrid job, you know exactly the high stakes in play and what very well may happen if you finish behind Barcelona. Even if you win the European Cup in Del Bosque's case.

To you and I it's a complete und utter joke/ disgrace. But it's Madrid and it's the way it's always been and always will be. The glamour and prestigious of playing/ managing/coaching there will never be lost.

Can't see Mourinho leaving us any time soon as long as Roman is happy with him. This is the most settled he has looked at a club and also it wouldn't surprise if winning the cl at this club is on his mind as it is the only one missing from him at chelsea and also it will make him the first manager to win it at three different clubs I believe.
