Think he's referring to Luiz in midfield. Not a catastrophic idea in itself, but I'm not sure about it. Obi Mikel is excellent there for you.

He can be excellent but at times he forgets his role because he naturaly is an attacking player.

Me and my mate were talking about Chelsea maybe playing Luiz in cdm yesterday and we both believe he can do a good job there and it will also give Brana the chance to play in his original position of cb. Also I see you have left Lampard out of that line up and I agree Chelsea need to have a strongest line up that doesnt feature him. He is a great player but next season he will be approaching 34 and we cant rely on him along with Drogba, Terry etc forever.

i think Luiz is better suited in DM. He likes to nick in before the defender and start attacks himself and its too risky at the back

He'll be approaching 34, but he won't be until the end of next season.

@CJACKO11 it's a really good team but it's just the way there's no Lamps, Luiz in CDM is a strange one (even though I regularly play him there on FM) it's been talked about a lot to why he's not a CDM and I can't put my finger on it myself, but I feel he's better suited to CB. There's also Mikel who is extremely underrated and deserves a spot in the starting 11, even though I do feel Lampard, Essien and Ramires should be starting. And I think we need to play 4-3-3 TBH. It's everybody at Chelsea's favourite formation and suites our squad, although it won't if we get Kaka. Maybe we'll have to switch to 4-2-3-1 next season to accomodate Kaka if he joins. Would prefer someone younger than Kaka, but he is a great player still, just worried that he won't deliver and will get injured a lot.

Agree with you on that, but he does his job amazingly at times he so strong and his passing is great, vision etc. He's the perfect deep-lying playmaker (defensively anyway, he's got nothing on Pirlo etc. in other departments).

It may not be till the end of the season but he still only has a couple of seasons left in him. Chelsea need to be able to cope without him in the team regular and also imo super Frank may have passed his best years.

The only reason i didnt pick Lamps in that side is because with a diamond you need width and not just from the fullbacks. Ramires comes out wide on occasions as does Kaka and both strikers like to run the channels too. But im not 100% sure a 4diamond2 is the best option but you have to try and accomodate everyone and its hard lol.

Exacly that, what Frank has done for this football club no words can explain. But i believe from now on we will start to see less from Frank in games and his 50+games a season days are over. We have to learn how to play a different way without Lamps and the sooner we start the quicker we will move on.

I wouldn't mind it if we let Essien go in the summer. He's approaching that age where we can still get a decent amount of money for him (20+), but if we wait a bit more then we won't get as much. He hasn't been the same player as he was a season and a half ago, he seems to have lost his drive and engine in midfield which made him such a beast. And with the emergence of Ramires, we have a similar player with great potential.

Not only that, I think the whole midfield needs revamping. We are too robotic in our play and need some creativity desperately. At the moment our midfield is built as a powerhouse all round bar Lampard. We need to get the mix right between power and a bit of flair which I think will improve us drastically. Luiz to DM could work, that's the position he started his career after all. I would like to see him at right back preferably, I think he is more suited there.

This would be my team with the players I think we should sign:

Cech
Luiz - Alex - Terry - Cole
Ramires
Guarín - Lampard
Hulk - Torres - Sturridge

We should bring back Delac from loan who will be no.2 to Cech, McEachran should get more games and will come in when Lamps is out. Guarín I've watched from Porto this season, struggled to get a place in the team last year but is now developing into a great player. Would love to get Modric in that position but it is unlikely. Also Hulk, he would be the perfect fit for the premier league. Would love to get him.

Ok fair enough.

Still though like I said in my previous post I'm not sure about getting Kaka he's great but he's 29 and next season will be 30. What's the point in getting him for an already ageing squad?!

Nah i agree and his age is what is putting me off. Surely if we want a lively attacking player who can score and create then Neymar is better suited.

I would absoloutely love to see Neymar at Chelsea. Looks like such a talented player and plus another thing on why we maybe shouldnt sign Kaka is Lucas Piazon. I know Piazon is only young but he is touted as the next Kaka and if he is as good as ive heard then maybe he has the quality to get into the Chelsea side at a young age.

mate his name is Petrescu, not Petrescus:D i know him very well, he is from Romania, just like me:D... i'm a chelsea fan since 2002...when Desailly still play for the Blues...that defender was immense....my favourite player of all times...

---------- Post added at 02:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:16 AM ----------

better hulk instead neymar...the Chelsea style of play will suit him ( Hulk ) very well i believe:D

I know that we are going to absolutely revitalise the squad next season and probably build it around Torres:

This is the changes I think will take place:

Out:

1. Anelka (Too old and not really a first-teamer)
2. Bosingwa
3. Paulo Ferrera (Sp)
4. Alex (Maybe)

I do not think Drogba will leave as Ancelloti will want him and we all know his quality is right up there with the best

In:

1. Neymar
2. Van Der Wiel
3. Kaka (Hardly is getting any chances at Madrid and with the signing of Sahin, will be less 2 for him and Roman has always been a big admirer of him)

I hope players like Nathaniel Chalobah, Sturridge, Josh M. get more chances next season, all of them are quite decent youngsters who deserve them plus we signed this Brazilian Kid called Lucas I think, he may feature next season 2

If Neymar goes to Chelsea he has to get rid of that stupid hairdo, can't stand watching it.

Yer exacly that, it will be intresting to see how good this Lucas P is and what we decide to do with him i.e send him out on loan/reserves/first team.

Cant really dis-agree with you much appart from letting Ferriera go. He is a good squad player that is just happy to be part of the club and is a decent backup player. Im sure both Sturridge and Josh will get more games but maybe its too soon for Chalobah, he definatly has alot of talent but i he is only 17 isent he?

If Neymar goes to Chelsea he has to get rid of that stupid hairdo, can't stand watching it.

If he scores goals and plays well then i will get the same haircut lol.

Hulk has been playing on the right wing and cutting inside onto his left foot. I think he'd be great in your 4-3-3 system. I can't believe some of you don't want to sign Kaka?! The man's a legend and still has so much to offer, I think he'd be fantastic in the Premier League

Ferreira doesn't really need to be gotten rid of. He will be willing to train, help out youngsters and play in the odd game when needed. He can play RB or LB so he gives us some versatility, his wages aren't that much and he can help out any Portuguese speakers.

Alex is a great defender and we would be stupid to get rid of him.

I think Chalobah won't be ready yet. Josh and Sturridge definitely need some playing time, as well as Kakuta, Bruma, van Aanholt, Bertrand (if he stays), Rajkovic (not sure want to see some more of him), Delac and Borini IF he stays which is looking extremely unlikely.

Out:

Anelka (Maybe)
Bosingwa
Mancienne (unfortunately not Chelsea standard)
Cork (the same as Mancienne)
Malouda (Maybe)

and some others but can't really decide.

In:

Pjanic - he's been heavily linked with us several times and he's a great player, just what we need. Can't see him joining in the summer unfortunately - maybe he will someday though.
Mata (or somebody similar - young, versatile) - We need somebody like Mata, he can play behind the striker, on the left or cutting in from the right.
Neymar - Would be an amazing signing.

My team for next season if I was in charge would be:

Cech

Ivanovic David Luiz/Alex Terry Cole

Ramires/Mikel Essien Lampard/Pjanic

Mata Torres Neymar

Mata and Neymar giving more width. When Mikel starts he goes central and Essien takes the spot on the right. I would also feature all the youngsters a lot.

he's too old I wanted him when he was leaving Milan, but not now he's fantastic and if he joins I will be happy because he offers so much, but his age puts me off a lot.

Maybe so but we need a proper right winger who can cross, we have been lacking that for some time now. Im on the fence about the Kaka deal mate, if he signed i would be happy dont get me wrong but we have to take his age and injury record into consideration. But with Lucas Piazon dubbed the next Kaka maybe it would be good for him to train at the same club as Kaka and work closely with him and take over the raines in 3-4 years time when Kaka retires/moves on.

Just off the subject of Chelsea's transfers etc i heard a chant the Chelsea boys were singing to Giggs on Sunday and it goes.

Ryan Giggs Ryan Giggs running down the wing,
Ryan Giggs Ryan Giggs ******* Imogen,
Went to the courts,
Banned all reports,
Ryan Giggs Ryan Giggs Ryan Giggs.

Epic.

I think Cork should stay he's been immense for Burnley but not sure if he'd make it over Lamps Kaka Ess Rambo Mikel, wish he would as hes one **** of a player.

Also i can confirm that Rooney did put his fingers up to the Chelsea fans. At the time Chelsea fans were chanting "Rooney your a c**t and your always be a c**t". Which ok is not nice but surely he should be big enough to take it.

I think he had his chance in the summer but we bought in Ramires. I dont think he is PL standard which is a shame.

Agreed. Even though what I said has 2 inside forwards the advantage is you can swap them around put Neymar on the right Mata on the left and even though Neymar isn't the best of crossers he will run at the left back and play low balls in to the box. In fact to add to my earlier post I think we need 3 new wingers (or in Neymar's case winger/striker) someone who is right footed with a great cross for the right as well as Neymar and Mata. We would then have 4 wingers Zhirkov, Mata, Neymar, somebody with amazing crossing. We would also have Kakuta, Kalou and Sturridge, but Sturridge is more a striker and I actually think Kalou is better as a second striker or striker, but then he can play on the wings too.

He's been good at Burnley not immense. Everybody at Burnley wants him to stay but even my Dad (Burnley fan and commentates on every game) says he isn't good enough for Chelsea. He will be good for bottom/mid table prem teams though.

I like the sound of Mata but feel he would cost 20m+. Saying that Neymar will cost us 30m+ now days i rekon. I think Zhirkov may be on his way out in the summer though, he only has one year left on his contract so i think we might cash in on him.

Agreed but if we want to improve our team and make the squad younger we're going to have to spend about 70 mil in the summer, saying that though we will probably get 20 mil back from selling players.

On a non-transfer note - I'm loving the new home shirt :)
