But he dosen't owe anything to Bolton at all. He has given them what 2-3 years of fantastic service breaking into the England side and really making a name for himself. If anything him leaving now is better for Bolton as they will get some money for him so they can sign a replacement and quickly move on.
I couldn't disagree more. Bolton gave him the chance to be who he is, of course, he's paid them back by playing well over the past years, but right now is probably when his club needs him the most and when he should stay to help them out. How is exactly losing him now 'better' for Bolton?
It's clear he's motivated by cash anyways, he's getting the chance to move to a better club and still he wants more money. Can't expect much loyalty from someone like that.
