Good youth set up means not buying good young players like Lucas, Sturridge. Its nurturing talents of young kids who spends so many years as a kid, who joins academy as a kids and come out as a player..

not only that it's about actually turning in to good players either at the club or being able to move on and be good players elsewhere

Yes. I'm not comparing, but read that at United, Club take lot of interest and care about the future of young players and also if the players wont make the cut, club try its hardest to find a suitor for our young players.

Maybe all clubs do, but i read this about United..

I dont understand why people say we dont hae a good Youth set-up, we have some great Youth prospects tbh....

1. Nathaniel Chalobah ( England U-17 Captian)

2. Daniel Sturridge ( Potential England superstar)

3. Todd Kane

4. Josh M. (One of the best)

5. Lucas Piazon

6. Jeffrey Bruma

7. PVA

8. Philipp Prosenik

Question is will they get the chances they deserve

You sure? I thought it was Conor Coady? Or has he graduated through to the U-19's, d'ya know? I know he was the U17's captain, when they won the World Cup.

Chalobah was named U17captain from the start of last season.

Well Coady won the World Cup in 2010 as the Captain, I guess he's moved to 19's since then.

All 3 players signed as School boys and went into our acadamy as they were too young to play at any other level and we neutered them.

PVA joined when he was 17, hardly nurturing. This is not youth set up.

Josh is your youth product. Chelsea made him. Took him as a kid, nurtured him, made him the player he is now. Thats the purpose of youth set up or academy. Not signing 16-17 year old players and making them fulfilling their potential..

Whats your age cut-off point then?? Its harder for clubs to get foreign youngsters at a proper early age as most cant move over on their own. Thats why the non-british lads come over when they are abit older but that dosent mean Chelsea didnt nurture them. Acadamys are based on local talant and foriegn talent.

Also Terry joined Chelsea when he was 14 and Bruma joined Chelsea when he was 15 so where is your cut off point?

Yeah there is a 90 min rule because of which all the clubs are suffering.

Not about age cut off, you can see Bruma was signed from other academy, just like PVA, and other Austrian kid.

Well this is going in circles. Any ways these players are yet to make any impact to say the set up is good. Potential is nothing if they dont make use of it.

Well our performances in the youth cup in recent years is somthing new to ChelseaFC so that tells me our youth acaday is at a much better standard than ever before. And yes Bruma was signed from another acadamy as were the others but John Terry was signed from West Ham!!!

I wish the club would name Hiddink (or Spartyguus) as manager/s

We all wish that, or at least most of us :) I believe he is the man :)

Hiddink expected to join Chelsea

Chelsea - Turkish Football Federation resigned to losing Guus Hiddink

Not the best source though, but still we hope this is true :)

Terms have been agreed with the Turkey Football Federation for Guus Hiddink to leave and join #CFC.

Some sources saying he'll join CFC but the role isn't known yet. May be DoF as he doesn't want the 7 days a week job of club management.

"Hiddink feels he still has a job to do there [Chelsea]. He wants to work every day and win championships, maybe the Champions League."

Ancelotti has revealed he is taking a one-year sabbatical from coaching.

meh thought he was going to join Roma, incredible that his 'joke' that he would consider West Ham was taken so seriously by everyone and he started to be linked to the Fulham , Aston Villa job etc.
