Essien genuinly loves it at Chelsea you can see that. Its a tough one with Ess we have to establish whether the poor season was down to a mental thing which can be put right or a physical thing which cannot. I sincerly hope its a mental thing and he we should keep him to prove himself next season.

either way Im just happy we will be retaining the core of our team and potentially selling off fringe, old players such as Anelka, Bosingwa etc.

What I really want to see at Chelsea next season is a nice blend of Youth and Experience with young potential superstars such as Josh, Sturridge, Lukaku, Neymar, Van Der Wiel playing around the core of the team made up of Experienced players such as Lamps, Terry, Essien and Drogba .... this I reckon will be a ideal squad

Yer its what we need i think, abit of both in the squad. We already have the expirience of Lampard/Terry/Cech/Cole/Essien etc and we need to blend that with some brilliant youth prospects.

Youth which we lack heavily, I rather we buy 18/19 year olds who can contribute something to our squad straight away rather than buy some guy in his early teens and wait for 5 years before he does anything useful, the great risk with that move is that firstly the player may not fulfil his potential at all wasting our time and money and we may end up stagnating our short-term progress with an uncertain long-term future

We got really some quality youth players in Nats Chalobah, Josh, Brums, Sturridge, PVA who all deserve their chances in the squad next year

I think we tried to rush some of the youngsters through last season in PVA, Bruma, Kakuta etc and thats why we let them out on a 6month loan deal to get expirience. I agree i like the look of Chalobah, seen him play a number of times and he really impresses me. I also like Todd Kane alot and Billy Clifford.

Well van der Wiel and Neymar are looking unlikely now, but don't forget PvA hopefully he won't be loaned out at all next year and can get a few cup games and even the odd PL game. And the same goes for Kakuta, shame Bruma is going to be loaned out.

I think it was mental thing TBH because on his day he's still the best at what he does IMO. Hopefully next season he'll back as we know him.

I like to think it is a mental thing also, mainly because the start of the season he was scoring goals. He got 2 at West Ham and one against Fulham and it seemed he lost form like many of the players did but it hit him harder.

I like the look of Billy Clifford a lot, not sure about Todd Kane, but he scores some screamers. Shame Sam Hutchinson had to retire because I'm sure he would have featured quite a lot last season.

meh mate dont read too much into what Neymars agent says, considering no club other than we and Man City can afford to buy him for 41m and I am sure he will choose us hopefuuly :)

I know, but it's the way he's hesitating the deal was meant to be done already, but now he's gone cold.

Neither one of Neymar, Aguero, Pastore, Sneijder or Wiel will come. Its more than impossible now ;] + recent news tell us that maybe we are going to lose Lukaku as well. Im not being pessimistic here, im just starting to realise that.

What drugs have you been taking?! Lukaku is waiting until after his exams to make a decision. Neymar is 50/50, why have we lost out on Pastore? He wants to leave and we'd be one of the only teams willing to pay 40mil plus, Sneijder isn't over yet he said he likes the city etc. but not once did he say "I'm staying at Inter".

aye aye. We will see mate;] Remember what you are saying now ;]

I cant see the Neymar, VDW, Pastore, Aguero or Sneijder deals going through but i think the Lukaku deal will go through.

Ok, we'll see, but I'm fairly confident Lukaku will join and 50/50 about the others, but we'll see it's a long transfer window.

Same, but as I say - don't rule anything out.

Exacly that, a manager first would be a plus.

Dutch coach says he has not told Chelsea to make bid
Fresh reports in England say that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has already pledged to give Hiddink a £150million transfer war-chest to use upon his appointment.

how about that!

When asked if he could tell the supporters if he would stay, Sneijder told Gazzetta dello Sport: "The Inter fans have always treated me very well. They were wonderful and I want to simply thank them".

haha...one final splurge by Uncle Roman before the financial fair play rules, 150m will go a long way into adding some much needed quality into the squad although i dont think we need that much tbh buts its nice to know we can probably outbid anyone in the world with our money and the last few sentences when the the Turk President says thats Guus told the turkish players 'different' things adds to my excitement :)
