Could this be offloading of salaries and gaining transfer money to be able to maintain Hazard's costs?

Probably just because they are not good enough for a team wanting to retain Champions League crown and fight for Premier League.

Release Kalou, a good impactsub that's versatile and will track back.
Keep Malouda, who's ****.

XD

I rate Malouda more than I do Kalou, Malouda just seems to of not got any form at all at Chelsea, but he is a great player, hence why he is consistently in the France National team. Maybe it is the formation that does not suit him, although lately he would have to be more of a Left Back under Di Matteo.

Yeah,Falcao's good,but he would cost a lot,maybe £50m

Yeh but that has never stopped Roman getting who he has wanted before ;)

The alternative option, probably a lot cheaper as well could be Cavani, although I think Falcao is quite a bit better.

Kalou will not be content with a place on the bench in my opinion. Not only that but he may fall even further behind in the pecking order due to the arrival of Marin and a new attacking midfielder which we are in for. Malouda on the other hand will not mind doing so, thats why I suspect Malouda is being re-signed

Is it true Chelsea had a £32m bid for Lucas Moura rejected?

Mostly talk according to me, the Sao Paolo president did say we are the club 'closest' to Lucas Moura but I do not think he said we ever had a bid rejected for him

If I was Roman Abramovich I would be going for Falcao, but who knows.

Why spend so much money on Falcao when we already have a very good striker and possibly one of the best youth prospects in the world on our books... especially when they are more pressing problems in other areas of then pitch. I agree Falcao is a great striker but we should stick with Torres who is nigh on unstoppable when on form and he has certainly showed that of late under Di Matteo

Well I suppose not...although it would be good if we signed a good Right-Back so we would still need some cash to sign one.But I do agree Falcao should be are No.1 choice.

I read yesterday that the President said they rejected a 40 million Euro's bid from Chelsea, and also said they were closest to signing him. Can't remember the source though, which is a shame.

Really? All I read was the President saying they had rejected a 20m bid from Inter Milan for his services last summer. All I read was him saying that Chelsea were 'closest' to signing Lucas Moura.

In any case, I hope we do not go for him. His price tag seems massively inflated for a person of his age and ability.

Very strange. I do not think he is saying the truth. Why would we bid 40m for Lucas Moura when we were not even prepared to bid the same amount for someone like Modric last summer

You bid £35m for Modric to be fair. But £40m for Moura is an insane offer.

Yes but we took that slowly. Who is the Sao Paolo President kidding anyways, he would bite off Roman's hand if he offered 40m for Lucas Moura. Its obviously a ploy to increase the hype around his player
