Tbh, 26.5M for Falcoa is a bargain. I would like to see him at the Arsenal but there is no doubt if he moves anywhere it will be Chelsea, even though they have about 12343254 strikers.

When did I say Torres was a bad player? I just said he couldn't score for toffee.. which he couldn't. Don't give me that **** about him being under pressure because of the transfer record and adapting to a new club - he had a **** season all-round. He wasn't scoring for Liverpool, and he scored once (after more than 10 games?) for Chelsea. But instead of dropping him, Carlo had to play him - you can't just drop a £50m striker that quickly; he thought he had to justify the (Roman's) signing, so he played him and desperately tried to fit in while Sturridge was scoring for fun on loan at Bolton.

He did not have a bad season at all... he scored 13 goals which is very decent, nothing spectacular but nothing bad either and yes going for 50m in the January Transfer window does make a difference u know, it creates alot of pressure on the player as he has to adapt to new tactics and new surroundings and a new team, ask any manager even Wenger ;)

Just read on Twitter:

"Chelsea have spent more money on sacking managers in the last 5 years than Arsenal have spent on players".

In the last 5 years we have won 2 Premiere League titles, 3 FA Cups and 1 League Cup and have gotten to 2 CL Semi-Finals where we got knocked out against Barca and 1 CL Final which we were a penalty away from winning while the only final Arsenal have gotten to is the League Cup...

Yes i prefer our system

Hopefully that will be the scene next season.

Alcaraz - are you really trying to tell me Torres didn't have a bad season? 13 goals is an awful return for a striker of his quality - he averaged a goal almost every 4 games. Of course it can take time to settle into a new team, tactics, and of course having a £50m fee on your shoulders adds pressure (which was my initial point about Carlo - he had to justify Torres' fee so he played him even though he wasn't playing well). I'm not disputing his general quality at all - just his season, and the chances Sturridge will get if you panic-buy every time you're in a rut.

I can't fathom why Chelsea are being linked with strikers. They really, REALLY don't need a striker.

I agree. If we spend all this money we are only going to be like City when they first started spending and jsut have a ton of strikers in our team.

err... yes it is, its why people dont compare Man Utd's and Wolves trophy cabinet for example

What about comparing Villa's and Chelsea's? For example.. Oh wait..

History isn't broken down into how long you have been a "Top" side for.

Well exactly. What Chelsea need is a right-back and some midfielders and wide forwards. They don't need strikers.

Our only wingers really are Malouda and Zhirkov and I believe Zhirkovs best position is lwb aswell. Anelka and Kalou do get played on the wing but their original positiond are upfront and they dont seem to perform to well very often on the wing. I miss the good old days of Duff and Robben with Joe cole who could also play either side

You mean: Arsenal - 125 Chelsea - 7

?

Nope, because Chelsea have only been a "top" side for X years. So you need to times by Y multiply by Z and subtract V to get the real statistics.

I never understood why Chelsea let Cole go. I mean - he's better than Messi ffs!

Close ish,

Arsenal -125 Chelsea - 106

History is an ammount of time not how successfull a team is.

Exactly. We were formed 125 years ago, you were formed in 2003 ;)

Actually:

Chelsea - 0
Aston Villa - 1

Oh, sorry, thought we were talking about European Cups... ;)

Joe cole is not a bad players its just his ****** injury proned and i hasnt helped him in his career at all. At Chelsea whenever he was fit he was agreat little player and I hope he leaves Liverpool and goes to a team where he can start performing well again.
