As long as someone kicks Mikel out of the team I'm happy
And this is the inherent issue with Chelsea. Mikel is actually pretty vital. **** he is the reason Lampard hasnt been totally shown up, and he also covers the many oddites of Luiz's defending. The only people who benefit from no Mikel are Chelsea's rivals.

I dunno, maybe you have. Chelsea should have had a decade-long dynasty at the peak of English football. With Mourinho at the helm and endless funds there would've been little other teams could've done to stop you.

I fully agree with you. But its not been as bad as most people would like to think. Look at Arsenal, same manager yet no trophies for the last seven years which shows that stability does not necessarily mean success all the time.

I do realize that there are other more fundamental issues that are reasons for Arsenal's trophy drought but obviously Wenger has to take some of the blame.

Its a rather big problem that fans point to players like Mikel whenever we lose. Scapegoats already picked out in case of a loss.

And yes I do the same with Torres although everyone can agree that Torres is truly **** while Mikel on the other hand is rather good.

I really hope one day Chelsea make the same mistake Fiorentino Perez made and push out Mikel. Then another team can sign him and we can all laugh as Chelsea's midfield falls apart and the moronic section of fans find another scapegoat to blame.

Great assist from our prospering talent, Tomas Kalas! He is playing very well as RB, so rumours say he is going to loaned out to a Bundesliga club in January.

Scapegoating is scapegoating to be honest. Could and should be scoring more, has still got a decent return so far.

That would be hilariously ironic, given who capitalised off of Perez..

That would apply to us though, and Liverpool. WBA are a good side and can cause problems. They shouldn't be underestimated

That's not my point at all though.

Every side has a weakness and most of them are in constant transition. United is the perfect example here - Fergie sometimes played two 38 year old mids, defense is ridicolously injury prone, goalkeepers have no stability, mid is just unreliable, everyone keeps ******** about the wingers, my god everything other then attack could propably use some work.

But wait , United actually has 6 point lead. So clearly "but we are rebuilding" only goes so far as an excuse. A multi-milion dolar side should still be expected to perform on some level. Shocker lose here and there is fine, but spending 75 milion and losing on 3 possible trophies before there even was Xmas, well thats quite extreme, and not just by "Roman's over the top expectations".

And i cant help but point some of the blame at RDM who had to have at least some input in summer transfer choices.

Already Sturridge for that

I'd take him immediately at United.

Would compliment Cleverley/Anderson really well. But having said that for now I really like the Carrick/Cleverley partnership, I think Cleverley is getting better and better.

Back on topic though, I can't help but agree with Tyton's point. There has to be some expectation considering how much quality there is within the Chelsea squad. It has been a disaster for Chelsea this season, out of the Champions League, losing in the Club World Cup and the Euro Super Cup. Practically out of the title hunt in the Premier League.

But who do we blame.... Roman certainly not helping the players.

Actually his goals-to-games ratio for Chelsea in the Premier League is similar to that of a certain Emile Heskey when he was of Torres' age. And Heskey was playing for ****** Birmingham.

Talking about this season, he has 10 in 23. His shots to goal ratio is decent. the issue is that he isn't actually taking enough shots.

11 in 24 if you include the community shield. If somebody said to me at the start of the season would you be happy with Torres on 11 goals come december I would take it tbh he had 4 goals this time last season so he has improved. He does need to shoot more I remember I was at the game against norwich back in october in the first 5 minutes he was through on goal all he needed to do was just smash it but he turned back which was very frustrating. He still scored that game but if he had not of turned back for the first chance he may have scored a brace that day or even gone on to bag a hat trick.

Tbh, that terrible miss aside, Torres did improve significantly when Rafa came. He gets into positions. He takes the shots. He finds the target. 20-25 at the end of season is looking completely doable, and is nothing to rant about.

The only question now is if he can do it consistently vs. tougher sides.

I can completely understand the frustation of watching someone like RVP constantly hammer crucial goals , though.
