Starting 11: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Bertrand, Lampard, Oscard, Marin, Moses, Mata and Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Cole Hazard, Ferreira, Piazon, Saville and Ake

News on the Falcao front I read off Guillem Balague's twitter (@GuillemBalague) that he has told the club he wants to stay untill the end of the season and that Chelsea, City, PSG and Real Madrid are all interested

Could see this happening a ******* mile off. We better sort it out in the second half though I have my doubts we will.

Will have to blame Luiz mainly for that goal. Surely if we lose this Roman has to think about releasing Rafa surely! No plan, no shape, no one playing for him and fans who didn't mind him (small minority) starting to think otherwise! You made a mistake Roman, be a ******* man and admit it!

Sorry this has got nothing to do with Rafa, not sure how you can individual errors "not playing for the manager"

There is no shape because your DMC has decided to be an attacking mid!

It's not just about today though is it, are you genuinally telling me you see some sort of improvement from when Robbie was in charge?

That's been the Chelsea way for a while now. Players play like ****, do not perform, the manager gets fired.

Its insane. Lampard has been nowhere, there is no other option because Mikel is suspended, Romeu is injured and Essien was loaned out. But its Rafa's fault? The mistake here is not having any kind of balance in the squad. and that isnt Rafa's fault.

No, manager gets fired regardless of what the players do on the pitch.

One ******* man team these days! The man is world class

Performances under him have been worse than they were under Robbie and in true Rafa style they are "facts"

It's been what, five games?

Rafa can't take the blame for Lampard having the positional sense of a waterlily.

This. blaming this on Rafa is nonsense, especially after 5 freaking games. Change the manager, same **** issues. Chelsea need to seriously wake up as a club.

Loaning out Essien. Sheer genius.

To be fair, RDM was fired with the same points gained from games played as Avram Grant achieved during his tenure as manager before him - and he Grant was still fired.

You need to grasp that the manager doesn't matter sometimes, it is about implementing a structure and ethos which the team must actually implement. And when managers who have consistently achieved at the highest level are being fired following a lull in form, perhaps Roman had a word with the dressing room and told them to sort themselves out they'd play a lot better.

Plus, if the £65m+ Roman has spent sacking coaches was actually spent on the club, you'd already have Falcao by now.

It's about the 5 game on a whole and what was actually wrong before then? They appoint a manager fans hate with a passion and it's quite clear he is here only to try and bulk up his CV and he has only been appointed to get Torres good again. Roman cannot be seen as a failure with Torres its quite simple to see that. Like i said if you believe you have seen improvements or the possibility for things to be improved then i want some of what your having.

Look, I get you're sad that a club legend was thrown out for what Roman perceives as "poor performance", but present form for him is obviously the most important, certainly above sentimentality. Seeing how Roman reacted to the Champions League win you could see how it didn't mean as much to him as he had hoped, and that barely holding on in a game is not what he envisages Chelsea to be nor how you should win trophies and make landmark history.

Since then he's reinvested many more millions, and rightly or wrongly wants Benitez as a caretaker coach until he can get someone permanent lined up. Why on earth you think 'Rafa out' is sensible at this point is idiotic, you'd lose your chance at strengthening according to specific demands in the transfer window and will have to do with "whoever Roman decides is good", and have to attract yet another manager to the club for potentially five months before they may be potentially fired/contract not renewed.

Believe it or not, but there isn't along line of coaches wishing to join Roman's Chelsea manager merry-go-round right now. The very top ones are currently managing, and the 'top class' coaches which are tempted realise the need for instant results and would likely want to guarantee a strong beginning to the role by being able to spend to mould the side as they wish to during the initial window.
