But a formation which suits both Ramires and Lampard rather than one that gets out played by ****** James Perch!!!!

Lovely, but you're epically missing the point. Your midfield is FINE in attack, so changing it to accommodate two ATTACKING players more comfortably is ridiculous, particularly when you take into account how much more specialised a defensive midfielder in a 4-3-3 needs to be. You can't just get away with shoving a sort-of deep midfielder into the role like you can with a 4-2-3-1. In a 4-2-3-1, they can cover for each other, make up for lapses in concentration, and defend through numbers. In a 4-3-3, you NEED a specialised defensive midfielder. It's why United don't play a 4-3-3 regularly, and City haven't been able to properly until this season with the addition of Javi Garcia. See the contrast between Madrid and Barca, the latter being able to play a 4-3-3 because of specialised DM Sergio Busquets whereas the former not being able to since Khedira isn't.

Says who? Considering he has never had a proper chance especially from the bench. He reminds me of a certain Kalou, not great when starting games but could do something from the bench with his direct running etc. He would have gave us something different than an out of position, tired and leggy Bertrand 100%. There is a difference between being slow with subs and not making any at all! If he had no intention of using the players then don't name a bench, or name academy players at least they will get something out of the experiance.

So on one hand you're lambasting people for not knowing what Marin can do, and then go on to compare him to Kalou and tell us exactly what he does?

Listen, I've actually been watching Marin for about 4-5 years now. He would NOT have been much use right then. It would've given you something different from Bertrand, but that certainly isn't necessarily a good thing.

I have a hypothesis. The reason Rafa is still employed is because the board are waiting for a quick replacement. On the 13th February Man Utd take on Real Madrid in the 1st leg of their Champions League tie with Utd being away that day. We all know Madrid are only holding onto Jose because they still believe he is the man to win them the Champions League. If they get beat in the first leg which would make Utd massive favourites for the 2nd leg i suspect they will act instantly. That is when us and Madrid could do a manager swap if you will, Jose to us and Rafa to them? It's a mental theory but stranger things have happened.

Might be. Rafa as interim manager there and if he does well might be offered permanent job.

Pre-season Marin looked sensational and was even getting more praises than Hazard! He then got injured and was out for all Robbie's reign. I am just saying he would have given us something more used to that position than Bertrand, Bertrand is not a right winger and its making Chelsea fans think he is **** which is unfair as he is being played out of position.

Pre-season means very little in the context of 5 years. Marin just isnt very good.

You do have to accept that players play better with better players too. Moses was decent ish last season with Wigan but who knew he would turn into one of our best players this season so quickly.

Moses was always a better player though. Marin has the talent, but absolutely not the mental side to back it up. Marin had some quality support at Bremen, still not very good.
Moses probably has less raw ability, but he has the capability to do more with it.

My take on Marin has always been that he should have moved when he was playing brilliantly, around the time Ozil left now look at him. I do think staying at an average club and injuries have knocked his progress for six but he has the tools in my opinion to offer something especially from the bench late on in games.

Marin has been **** for 3 years now. But the 3 years before that he was amazing. So you can't have been watching him for 5 years.

How on earth can you come to that conclusion? Marin's last good season was 09-10. 08-09 was solid as was 07-08. He's been awful since.

Definitely the Arsenal game where we got tonked at home by AC Milan, total gifts all game by the ref.

This is why we need video tech supporting the refs. There's too much money in football for that **** not to happen. Only matter of time until PL has its own game fixing scandal.

One thing i want to chuck out there is a question why you think they club are not giving Islam Feruz any chance. Although he is only 17 he has been playing for our reserves (U21's) this season and playing in the next gen series scoring bags of goals. He has 11 in his last 11 games playing against lads older than himself and 14 in 19 in all games (youth team and U21's together) and if you include Scotland games he has scored over 20 this season. He has even scored 2 in 2 U21 caps at just 17!!!

He's gonna get capped by Scotland before making his league debut.

May become a Utd supporter for the Madrid game. Hopefully they speed up Operation Mourinho.

Not ready for the step up yet imo. No need to rush the guy, it's not like he's going to turn our season around even if he adapts well.

And i wonder what game people will think the Champions League game in England was??????
Apparently it's the Liverpool vs Debrecen game. The debrecen goalkeeper was paid to make sure there was over 2.5 goals but liverpool only managed 1-0, which is pretty hilarious.
Was always likely to be one of the more low profile games. The players and referee's in the really big matches will all be paid well enough not to need to take the risk of accepting money to fix a game.

Was never going to be Øvrebø considering he sent off at Abidal when they were 1-0 down. Not the best way to ensure they went through.

Confidence cannot be bought, if he is getting in the right areas at youth level he will still do that at senior level. Some players are worth taking a punt on and i believe he is one of them especially considering we are low on strikers at the moment.
