Confidence cannot be bought, if he is getting in the right areas at youth level he will still do that at senior level. Some players are worth taking a punt on and i believe he is one of them especially considering we are low on strikers at the moment.

You can't compare youth and senior levels though, he could play a full 90 minutes in a senior game and do nothing just because the level of players involved jumps up a huge amount. Rafa doesn't need another reason for people to **** all over him.
That being said though, with the lack of depth Chelsea have, I'd throw him on against Brentford.

If he played Feruz the fans would absolutely love it honestly! Every fan is ****** off with the youth players we have not given a chance to in recent years so to give one a chance who deserves one and one who is in a purple patch at the moment would be welcomed immensely. If it didn't work the media would slate Rafa more than the fans for this one seriously mate.

He's not good enough yet though. No use chucking him in when we need consistency and telling him to basically perform or be slated. He's much better off refining his technique on loan. If we were comfortably 3rd and the club wasn't a toxic environment that would heap tons of pressure on him, then it would be worth giving him first team experience. As it is, it could easily screw the lad over at this crucial time in his development.

Or it could be the start of something for him? Sometimes you have to take a gamble, right now we lack strikers so he might be needed at some point. We have a mis-firing striker and the other one has a broken nose and cannot play in one of the two competitions we are left in. I personally think he could offer us something different.

He's still very raw though. It's worth giving him a run out, but you have to balance that with the fact that we really can't be taking gambles atm.

Will Moses be back from the ACON by then, Could play him up front? Although there is a pretty big need for him on the wing atm.

I think they play wednesday (not sure) but is there not also a 3rd/4th place play off in the cup of nations? if so then that will be played at the weekend so he won't be back regardless.

There is so he wont be back.

I keep having little daydreams where Jose comes back, we actually manage to unload Torres, we played a 4-3-3 with Lukaku, Hazard and Mata upfront and Mikel+Ramires/Essien+Oscar/Fellaini in midfield, and everything is good again.

Then I remember we have Benitez, Torres is on crazy wages, our midfield is a joke, our defence is shaky, one of our best players is out for kicking a ball and poor little Juan Mata is having to carry the team on his back once again.

reality hits hard mate ay!

Jon Obi Mikel has completed the most amount of successful passes (247) and is top of the assist list (3) so far at this African Nations. #****?

Juan Mata now has 20 assists this season for club and country making him Europe's top assister

One thing i noticed tonight was the form of Oscar compared to the form of Oscar at Chelsea. He comes across as a bit of a shy lad that you can see needs molly cuddling and some players need that. His form under Robbie and Rafa could not be further apart and i think that shows the difference in management styles between the two.

ACON will be the closest Chelsea gets to a trophy this season.

So there's a couple of rumours floating around that Roman has offered Lampard a new contract/extension.
