Time to sell?? I think so, especially as he only has a year left on his contract.

Definitely not. I'd sell Malouda and Anelka over Zhirkov any day of the week. But anyway I will be very disappointed if we do unless we buy someone like Mata. And has he only got a year left on his contract?

Oh and btw let's not start up the debate on whether Zhirkov is a top player again, obviously some of us Chelsea fans on here have different views on him.

Yup, we are in a tournement with Kitchee, Blackburn and Aston Villa. We will play Kitchee in the first game and the winner will play the winner of Blackburn and Villa and the 2 losers will play in a 3rd/4th playoff both 3 days later. But yes all 4 games will be shown on SkySports.

tbh, I rated Zhirkov very high, never played a bad game for us, always a danger for opposites(he won 2 penalties against Villa(7-1), and im disappointed to see him go. but yes, better sell him and get some money. otherwise..

im with you on this.

Definitely time to sell, good player but not really what we want.

I thought we wanted width and pace, someone who can cross etc.? That's what everyone was saying at the start of the window anyway.

Good :) Yeah like I say I'll be disappointed to see him go, but if we do sell and bring someone in who's young and exciting like Mata, then I'll get over it.

Zhirkov was and can be a top player but i dont think he is cut out for Chelsea. Unfortunatly he gets to many injurys and is way to inconsistant. Yes Malouda is inconsistant but when Malouda is on form he scores bags of goals and sets up much more goals too.

Aguero to decide his future

Reguera insists Aguero's decision to leave Atletico has nothing to do with money and that he wants a new challenge.

"In seven days the subject will be closed, but this has nothing to do with money. He wants his career to grow."

If he actually means that, then the last place he should go to is City. But yea, we know its about the money, its always is.

Anyway, im done discussing this cuz its getting more and more pointless.

He can cut it for any team in the world. He gets a lot of injuries, but when he's without injuries he doesn't get played anyway and he is not inconsistent, I can't remember him having a bad game. Malouda sets up hardly any goals, he got 4 assists in 38 games, and Zhirkov got 2 in 12, having only started 6. Sure Malouda gets goals but that's because he's greedy and tries scoring from any angle possible. If Malouda wasn't so greedy he would get about 20 assists - he wastes the ball so much and holds up play. That's all I'm going to say about this because as I said I don't want to start all this up again.

He had a little spell around october/november where he had some really good games. Spartak Moscow, Wolves, Blackburn come to mind but then he lost form and fitness along with majority of the players. Although Flo annoys me at times if i had a choice between Flo or Yuri i would pick Flo everytime. Maybe in the middle of the park Yuri could do something but personly at what 28 and only a year left on his contract i'd say cash in.

Really looking forward to seeing Chalobah, PVA, Bertrand, McEachran, Clifford, Yossi and Sturridge more than anyone else. Huge shame Kalas cant be involved because if Saturday was anything to go by the lad could have been in and around the first team this season.

Yeah, shame Kakuta is on international duty too.

Where??

Twitter

@SkySportsPeteO - New Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has promised to win the Champions League.

Exacly lol, thought you was better than this.

“In the next year for sure the trophy will arrive in this club"

“Chelsea have been in a couple of semifinals and also one final in recent times. I don’t see why we can’t go on to win it,” the Portuguese told reporters as the London team arrived in Kuala Lumpur to kick off their 15-day Asia tour.

“There is plenty of talent in this squad. I believe the players can still find new things in them to exploit and I want to fully potentiate that talent,” he added.

Twitter=pure and utter bullshit!! He has had an interview today though with Chelsea and this was not mentioned.

It obviously is just setting high aims for the squad, ever heard the proverb aim for the moon and you will land among the stars and its a very realistic target too

Just listening to it now and I think he said "In the next years for sure the trophy will arrive in this club".
