Maybe Pastore wants to be part of building a club, and being a major part in a new chapter of their history. If every player since 2003 acted like you're suggesting, you wouldn't even be in a position to be attracting players like Pastore, you realise? You just sound mad that you've been snubbed.

A realist would be able to understand all the circumstances why a player might want to do something too. So yes, you're just being arrogant.

as a matter of fact I never recall mentioning that he will definitely choose us over PSG or that PSG are just being deluded fools who think they can compete with us, I just expressed suprise and laid out reasons on why he will probably join Chelsea over PSG, its just my opinion and I do not see how I am being 'arrogant'

Scrap Pastore, go sign Diego.

While your at it Gourlay there's a Brazilian/Italian striker who needs a home in Turin, would cost around 7 million euros and could easily replace Anelka's role...He's called Amauri.

Imagine Berbatov but somehow more 'god like' and you in essence end up with...Amauri.

He used to be good. Don't really rate him now, he's gone downhill, and is already old.

I though Amauri was going to Brazil, or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

He's a prime physical specimen capable of 2-3 more years at the top, I wont say a bad word about him. Hope he stays in Europe rather than going back home to Flamengo, think he would add alot to teams.

World Class player...When he wants to be.

More tongue in cheek, no BPL team would pay his wages sadly and his Parma move has fell through. My only hope of saving Amauri (keeping him in Europe) is Villareal or Napoli coming in for him.

Gets a hard press sometimes, Juve fans don't like him but I love the guys ability he has pure talent just doesn't show it often enough.

But yeah as I said in my post he looks like going home to Flamengo but I really want to keep him in Europe (Like I have a say).

Both Diego and Amauri were quite good last season actually. Diego is a bit of a **** unfortunately.

Diego just needs taming.

Natural ability wise he is probably the best in the world, but Juve/VFL have not worked out at all and now he looks set for Athleti for 9 million euros which is a gamble but IMO a gamble worth taking. He has all the attributes you would want in a treq/advanced playmaker and can hit a polar bear in a snow storm with that right peg of his.

That might be a bit of an exaggeration. Messi would be miles better even if he had the work rate of Dirk Kuyt.

I meant to be diplomatic and say ''one of the best in the world''...

Jamie, what is it with you and talented but lazy players? ;)

Diego runs like he's broken his leg (i.e he doesn't) and Amauri is hardly a spring chicken, not to mention the fact that he wouldn't be any use at replicating Anelka's role since he'a strictly a prima punta, whereas Anelka can and does play on the wing. Yes, both of them can come up with flashes of quality, but I'm sure to Chelsea fans used to seeing the consistency of Terry, Lampard, Cech and Drogba would hardly be impressed.

Anelka will go on the wing no matter what position he's played at. He just likes to run where he wants to. I wouldn't mind giving Diego a try if he didn't take up too much of our wages and preferrably on a one year contract so we won't have a problem if he suddently misses his family or "doesn't have any friends" in Manc.. sorry, London.

And I don't deny that they're lazy!

I look at their good points, can't say a bad word about either of them...

As for the rest of your comments, Amauri will never join CFC no matter how much I prey for it to happen and I doubt Diego will...

Just my dreams, if I was on Jim'll fix it right now that is what I would wish for Amauri and Diego to come to the Premier League.

Not saying Chelsea SHOULD sign them but I selfishly want them to...

If I had my way CFC would sell Anelka/Drog and bring in Amauri/Forlan/Lukaku but that's just me, don't want to go into my football fantasies you will find many Podolski's/Gilardino's/Cassano's lurking in there as people I like.

I guess I just have a strange taste for players I like...

Any team has the ability to surprise another team, regardless of where they are from. Look what happened to Glasgow Rangers this week

Well i for 1 wasen't that suprised!!

1st. fair enough. now we are not.

and 2nd, never been arrogant about that, and never will be mate. never said that we are the perfect club for players to come to. but in this particular case, cmon man, seriously? PSG > England(Chelsea) ? i mean think about it, if you have ambitions, where would you go? france or (again) the best league of the world?

The French league is getting better and better without a doubt and PSG are the new money bags of Europe. The location is great and Pastore has a chance to make a huge name for himself at PSG and i wouldnt say he is guarenteed a starting spot at Chelsea so it would make sence to me. I think he will end up at PSG and good luck to the lad, the more i see of Josh the more i dont want us to sign a midfielder and just throw him in the squad.

Couldn't agree more. Dont see why they cant put the faith in Josh, he seems to have what it takes, got a very bright future

I have so much faith in the lad and the other day he was played almost as a number 10 and he was sensational. Needs to work on his finishing but thats about it.

1st. never said i wanted him at Chelsea, just the opposite, i think he will be a huge flop. and waste of money. and overrated, not as good as other available playmakers(like Sneijder), same price though...
these are my words.

2nd. maybe im the biggest admirer of Josh. and maybe in 2 years from now, hopefully he will be our main playmaker. I really do hope. but now he cant play every game, like Lampard does. we must NOT push him, cuz he is still too weak. but week in week out - sure.

PSG signed Sirigu...
Not sure whether this would have any influence on the Pastore deal.

Although i agree he isent ready to play 3 games a week i dont agree with you that he is too weak, players just bounce off him and/or cant even get near him. If we sign another midfielder then it pushes Josh back and we would be stupid to do that.

I rekon so, this is the sweetner deal so they can get Javier too.

French reports claiming PSG could announce triple signing of Sissoko, Sirigu and Pastore tonight! Total cost would be around €55m

Amazing stuff if true. Kind of happy either way if Pastore goes too PSG it looks the beginning of a great team.

i dont think so, cuz i would predict that Lampard will play 2 more seasons, and hopefully josh will step in as our number 8( or 10 ;p ). Lampard ALREADY is pretty much gone, with his lack of speed and other things.
