12 - Gary Cahill has scored the joint-most league goals by a defender since August 2008, along with Chris Samba. Extras.
If only he could do his actual job and defend..

He can and very well but when he is playing along side players like Paul Robinson its not easy lol.
Good, you can play him upfront then, he'll probably score more than Fernando!

This season, Zat Knight > Cahill.
Actually Zat knight has been the superior defender. He hasnt been let down by his team mates, Cahill has actually been the worst,
No way has he been their worst defender, Robinson has been absolutely dreadful. The lad got torn appart by Macclesfield last week.
Rather have Torres up front. Was excellent in the last game. Should have had two penalties
Cahill has been the worst of the centrebacks all season. He has been dreadful. People have been making excuses for him because he is an england international, but he has been so so poor.

I know, I'm just kidding... When your only signing is Darron Gibson you need to mock someone else's signings as well, makes the pain go away for a while.
Reason why he is so overrated. Decent player but the hype he gets is way too much than he deserves. Tbh I was one who bought this hype then realized he is not all that player.
Similar reason why Lescott was hyped as top CB at Everton.
Being an England international dosen't matter. If anything thats a reason to force more pressure on him. He wanted to leave in the summer but never got the move, that would play in his head.
He hasnt even done the basics well. There is no excuse for how bad he has been playing. Only thing he has got vaguely right is his aerial battles, and clearances. His postioning, marking, tackling, interceptions and overall leadership have been virtually non existent
You are deluded if you are not satisfied with signing of Irish Xavi![]()
Playing in a side who are very poor even if his performances were a decent level Bolton would still be in the bottom 3. They have no cover from the midfield and have no confidence in themselfs. Last season he was lauded as one of the best around and now this season he is being treated like a semi pro footballer. Not only has he broke into the England side he has kept his place so Capello must rate him too.
