AVB is just blatantly lying considering how open Shakhtar have been about our bid and hopefully we will increase our bid to 25m and get our man in, Shakhtar are keen to sell him and are not opposing any move at all plus their value of the player seems fair to me so hopefully this deal will be done and dusted by the end of the week

Not too sure about Eden Hazard, I doubt any deal is in the offing but come to think of it, this time last year none of us thought we would get Fernando Torres so their is a little shred of hope.. personally speaking its only us, Man City and Real Madrid who can cough up enough money to buy him but I doubt Man City really need to spend so much to get another player in

Its Mourinho vs AVB for Hazards signature me thinks

Agreed, though there's rumours of a bust-up with Mourinho and Ramos and Casillas , so we'll se what happens with that...(will most likely come to nothing though)

I think the reported bid is true, but it's down to us whether we improve our bid to make it acceptable for Lille, if we do then I don't see why Hazard won't move now. He has said that he wants to stay until the summer and then move, but I'm sure he'll move if Lille give him their blessing.

I am not too sure, papers are all printing that he prefers a move to the Spanish Giants but that depends on whether the Spanish Giants prefer him and his inflated transfer fee, his agent has publicly said that if Roman is willing to rebuild the team at Chelsea he will strongly consider the club

One thing is for certain, if we are willing to pay the right price and show Hazard that we will play in a way that suits him then he will come especially if the Spanish Giants do not follow up on their 'reported' interest

Right now we are the front-runners for Hazard purely because no other club has really confirmed their interest as much as we have with our scouts going to watch Hazard for the past 5 matches in a row and especially with Emeleano going to watch him which shows that we are seriously considering a move for him

I really don't know what to think but if Real Madrid bid for him then we will be blown out of the water as far as I am concerned, our advantage hinges on whether RM are willing to stump up 40m for Hazard

Anyways here is another somewhat midler point of concern,

How do we manage our young Belgian hotshot Thibaut Courtouis

With Petr Cech poised to sign a new 5 year contract at the end of the season which is certain to be his last, how do we manage Courtois in these 5 years before he hopefully takes up Petr's mantle?

A start would be to increase his loan deal at At.Madrid by another year, he has been one of their best players so I am sure At.Madrid will be more than willing to have him next season.

Then I would suggest bringing him to England and loaning him out to a PLM club like Fulham who will need a GK by then due to the age of Mark, another couple of seasons at Fulham will only do him good as we have seen that a La Liga to PLM transition can be tricky at times in the case of David De Gea, then I suppose another two year playing second fiddle and learning from Petr Cech before taking the No. 1 Jersey

Seems like a good plan to me, he will get 4 years experience playing for top-flight clubs in top league's before spending the prevailing years learning from one of the best GKs in the game and playing a rotational role

This would ensure he has the necessary experience and talent to assume our No. 1 Role without too much difficulty

Would love to hear other people's opinion..

All over twitter, probably not true but still funny ;)

Eden Hazard:

"With all respect for Chelsea, but I'd love to join a club with history like Arsenal and Liverpool." #lfc #afc #cfc

Its just a bullshit qoute most likely made by a Liverpool or Arsenal fan which got spread round twitter by Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans.

Probably.

Don't even know why I asked. Don't even have twitter. :P

Yes, I believe it was an Arsenal fan who made up the rumour, and even though the majority found out it was fake loads of people are still spreading it around Twitter...

What is also funny is why those two clubs have been living in the past Chelsea have been winning trophies and are looking to the future ;) :P

not won a trophy since 2010 which is technicaly 2 years ago

#cfcarealsolivinginthepast ;)

New quote from Hazard

With all respect for Chelsea, I'd love to join a club with a great squad like Arsenal and Liverpool. Mata and Essien can't compare to their stars, I mean how could I pass up on the chance to play beside such greats as Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll. Will bringing new life to a player who used to be among the Premier League's best strikers really compare to setting Theo Walcott up for a 1-1 with the keeper, then watching him **** it up because he has the mental capacity of an especially challenged goldfish? I think not #lfc #afc #stepdown

Cause its funny ;)

No, it's not. What s funny though is that if Hazard was to come out and make a statement saying that he won't join a certain club it would most likely be any club that is not in the CL, which is ironic since it's very unlikely that Liverpool will qualify for the CL this season (or next for that matter) and Arsenal (though at the start of the season when Arsenal were doing terrible I did say they would finish 4th, and I still think they have a chance) aren't looking like they will qualify for the CL next season, so...

You mean.. domestically? Right?

Calm it down guys, it was just a joke. Whoever said it has got a point though..

Reports coming out of Belgian suggest we are back in for Kevgin De Bruyne and are trying to hash out a deal before loaning him back to Genk

We came awfully close to signing him last summer, no idea why we did not complete the deal but perhaps Genk wanted him to play for them in the Champions League

I am pretty sure this is not the Belgian winger most of you want but De Bruyne will be a good singing nonetheless, he is not going to slot into the first-team straight away and I suspect he will spend the next 6 months in Genk itself even if a deal is to be worked out

Kevin De Bruyne is fast, good ball control, he has excellent passing abilities but needs to work on his awareness and anticipation to see runs by other players earlier add the fact that he has an excellent shot, is strong with both feet and is a real goal threat with free kicks I think we will be getting a tidy little player

Some of his weakeness are that he is pretty useless in the air so he will probably have to remain on the flank, he is not much of a help tracking back either but he is young so these are flaws that can be imrpoved to a acceptable degree

Plus he is only 20/21 so he ties right in with our Youth Policy... hope we do get him instead of dragging this out further

Also in other reports, QPR have failed to agree a deal for Alex after failing to match his wage demands and PSG are now vying for his signature

Make your own minds up about this one, saw it in the Telegraph although I am sure Alex would prefer rising European Powerhouses PSG compared to QPR
