Yeah well... I would still cash in on him if he does not improve by the summer, right now my expectations of him are very very low so that if he does suprise me with a good performance vs Man Utd, I will be reasonably happy :D

That said, sadly Vidic is not there in the game for him to rape

You know how many he has scored playing against Vidic? I think around 3 in 10. Great record eh?

One of the biggest myth in the game. Torres got better of Vidic once that was during 4-1 win at OT. Rest everytime he was in Rio and Vida's back pocket.

relax dude, I was joking

I wouldnt cash in on him, I believe in him but thing is Chelsea's current possession styled game needs more through balls and more one-two's for Torres. How to do that is Mata and Sturridge closer to him and midfield also. I watched that Sunderland game video from that link Subtle gave and there it showed; As he got the ball, he was most of the time outnumbered like 1 vs 4 - 5. You cant expect him to beat 4 or 5 guys. In those situations, he either

A) Tries to dribble, gets perhaps past first and second but then too much is too much, 3rd or 4th player catches the ball away or then someone trips him.
B) He returns the ball back to the players, which sit deeper or then he runs around with the ball, tries to find the path for the dribble, but doesnt find and then returns the ball to someone else.

Thats simply it. He's touch might be heavier and confidence is low, but the brutal truth is if U ask me -> We caused his terrible form, we caused his confidence drop with our play style.

Now without altering too much the possession style AVB wants us to play, he should encourage more close-range one-two's and through balls. Push people closer to Torres so he can play those one-two's and latch onto through balls. We need more through balls never the less, the ones which Torres can run onto... Thats how chelsea can thrive. Those stupid inside the box crosses to the junkyard.

The fact that Vidic struggles against pacey forwards is no myth. Gabby Agbonlahor always gives him a torrid time, for example, whenever I see the two play against each other. The whole point of the 3 in 10 stat serves not to show Vidic's supposed lack of weakness against Torres, rather it shows Ferguson's excellence in protecting him from El Nino. Ever since that game, whenever Vidic has lined up against Torres, he's always been the second marker after a quicker, more technical defender like Ferdinand or Smalling.

Vidic struggles against Pacy/tricky striker is a fact, but Torres always gets better off Vidic or rapes him is myth. Vidic has done very well against him apart from one game.

Ferguson's excellence in protecting him from El Nino? I dont think that happened. And Torres always was a lone striker so he could target any CB he wants to. Vidic was excellent against him.

And we are not talking about how Vidic struggles against Pacy strikers, its about Vidic Vs Torres. Everytime they play against, media hypes up how Torres always got better off Vidic, which is a myth and which is what I was pointing.

Slightly off topic, but Gump, how is supporting Chelsea and Manchester City supposed to work? Although since you also Support Real Madrid I kind of get an idea...

Well I dont support Real closely lol, just favour them in Spain.

Im a City supporter, but I'd say I dont wish anything bad for Chelsea, if U understand what I mean... ;)

Now that U wanted to know it :)

Really full marks to Torres who has just done a live phone in on ChelseaTV just days after his nan died in a car crash. Came accross amazingly well, backed David De Gea to become a world class keeper and even spoke about that miss at Old Trafford. He also said the best moment in his career so far was winning the world cup?? no. Winning the Euro's???? no. To him it was Wolves at home this season when he was on the bench and the fans sung his name constantly for 15minutes and he wasen't even warming up or anything. Oh and i was one of them singing his name too lol, we all know he likes a goal against Utd so lets see if he can score on Sunday.

Regarding Torres once more, I really hope that tomorrow somebody gives him a through ball on foot like in the currently on-going Arsenal - B'burn, where Alex Song gave a beautiful pass through 4 B'burn dudes for Theo Walcott and then he passed for Persie and Boom, goal scored. But I really hope that instead of those stupid cross tries, he gets one of those through balls he can run onto. I really hope and I really hope he plays lol :D

How different it could of been had Torres just swung his foot.

Absolutely disgrace.

My glasses might be tinted in blue but still an absolutely fking disgrace.
Drogba should be here to sort howard webb out.

We shouldn't blame Webb. He ****** up by not giving Man Utd a penalty, and Cahill a red card early on.

I knew exactly wha would happen once Utd got a second penalties. I am disgusted in our players right now. only we would throw away a 3-0 lead against Utd ffs why do all these things happen to us!

Cahill's challenge wasnt worth for red or a penalty. Maybe a free kick and yellow.

Now did someone count how many times Torres had a shot? Or even a good, clear chance to shoot?

Cahill should of been a free-kick, and he was last man. The penalty incident was the Bosingwa one on Young.

I remember the Torres opportunity (Think we were 3-2 up) through on goal, and he completely ****** it up by turning backwards and eventually lost the ball.
