Look how Torres makes the pass you selfish ******* Sturridge! Learn your simple lesson. Torres man of the match!

Drogba will probably still start, but it just shows it's all about confidence with Torres.
I'd start Torres and give him the extra confidence after his 2 goals but then again this isn't FM.

"Fernando Torres he scores when he wants"
love the chant

I'd rather avoid Chelsea than Liverpool in the cup draw right now-Chelsea are resurgent and, well basically, just don't want to play against them.

You couldnt say that 2 weeks back from now.

Sorry... Didn't realise you beat Sunderland yesterday. ;)

Don't remind me lol. Very frustrating-but fair play to them-they're on a good run right now. Drenthe was just embarassing at times though with the way he went down. Replay will be much, much tougher-expect some players to do better than they did

I am just wondering about this Chelsea vacancy come the end of the season, do you think anyone will really want it, the way the owner and the old guard control the club? Only person I can think of other than Di Matteo is Rafael Benitez.

typical that we play chelsea as theyre starting to hit form, just like sunderland over new year and also just as we have arsenal coming up who have just hit form!

the old song again, every self-respecting world class manager thinks he is the man who can succeed at this club, and thinks he possess that special thing that will make difference and bla bla bla. I personally think it will be Benitez at the end of the day. One things for sure, nobody can win major things season in season out, also there's no such thing as immediate success, unless we are talking about Jose and Carlo. So whoever Roman appoints, it will be just for a season or two.

Should of kept AVB then, at least AVB was trying to try new players like Romeu and leave out the old guard. I also think IF he was given the time at Chelsea, he would of done well.

AVB got us fighting for the 4th. AVB's tactics were pathetic and laughable. His subs were a mystery for all of us. AVB thought this was Portugal and he was wrong. Players didn't perform under AVB. AVB was repeatedly refusing to involve the 'old guard' even though we were currently losing games. That so called 'old guard' defeated Napoli 4-1 and made the impossible possible. AVB had his chance, yes, its true that chance was shortened to 8 months, but you couldnt beg for more if you did what you did to this club. At the risk of repeating myself, I've never experienced such agony as a fan since Roman took charge, really, I respect the guy, I was backing him till his last day, and I wish him well, but he made mistakes and unfortunately, you have a limited amount of mistakes you're allowed to make at this club. And to be honest, its not (all) his fault, it was way too early to come to a club like this, where is way harder to succeed compared to Portugal, where there are only 2 major clubs that dominate the league. I say, when he gain more experience, and win some major trophies in big leagues (apart from Europa League) with his philosophy, then I'll welcome him back, not sure he will want to come back to Chelsea though, the way Roman treated him and all that 'dressing room' drama, but still, lets assume the 'old guard' will be gone by that time. Im not against him, he is a brilliant manager, he has vision, he is intelligent, just the time of this appointment was too early in his career. If you want transition and refreshment, look at SAF, the old man is the master of that. You cant buy Romeu, Meireles and get rid of Lampard. You just cant do that. Take a look at the United's old guard, still there, because those are players full with experience, exactly for games like that against Napoli. Players like (im writing them mixed here) Romeu, Pogba, Cleverly, Lukaku cant win you games. When you have Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Terry, Drogba(even though I think its time for him to go, he still showed what he's capable of the other night) you have a chance, because all these names mean one thing - priceless experience. Transition must be made the way that SAF makes it, slowly, little by little. You cant just get rid of those valuable players.

Once again, I wish AVB well, he will bounce back im sure.
