Others like Marc-Andre are just FM wonderkids. Come to reality, he is having good season but not in Cech's league.

No, ter Stegen is a quality keeper, to think he's only 19 years old is scary.

Abiatti? lol,
Lloris: Butter fingers Lloris?
De Sanctis? The GK of Napoli who made so many **** ups in one season alone than Cech made his entire career?

Abiatti is a top keeper, I'm going to guess that is off reputation, not ability.
Lloris - Probably the best in France.
De Sanctis is playing with an open backline who get exposed too often, he is a great keeper.
And No..no he is not just a FM wonderkid.

Never said he isn't, not better than or as good as Cech.

Well Robert Zeiler is better than him at least for now.

Abiatti is very good shot stopper but he has done more blunders than Cech.
Lloris maybe best in France, have you ever seen how much he struggles to catch the ball? Again most overrated GK.
De Sanctis like I said is more error prone than Cech.
So I can't understand how can they be better than Cech who is very consistent and had odd blunder which tbh is less than Reina who is nothing but average this season.

Joe Hart
Wojciech Szczesny
Pepe Reina
Tim Krul
Michel Vorm
Tim Howard
Shay Given

Maybe David De Gea.

I'd even go so far as to say that Mignolet, & Al-Habsi aren't far off.

Reina might make the odd mistake but he's generally solid and put his body on the line at all times, something Cech just doesn't do anymore, think it's time he moved on to a less physical league.

You must be kidding about Mignolet and Al Habsi

Reina does not make the odd mistake, he actually makes quite a few.. more than Cech anyways

Szczesny, please 1.5 seasons of solid goalkeeping does not make him better than Cech who has provided season after season of world-class goalkeeping

David Gea, based on half of a season!

Michael Vorm is the same as De Gea, you cant base anything on one season of solid goalkeeping

Agree with the likes of Joe Hart, Shay Given. Disagree with Tim Howard. Think him and Cech are equal atm.

Also I recall Ferguson saying that Cech should be a reference point for De Gea

This season Cech is much better than Reina. Funny how everyone is posting so many GKs ahead of Cech and still rate Reina as the best GK.

Going by same random (recent trend) posting, here is the list of GKs who are better than Reina,

Joe Hart
De Gea
Ches
Vorm
Cech
Howard
Given
Fridel
Krul

I never rated Reina the best.. I do rate him better than Cech. He hasn't been as amazing as he was 3 or 4 years ago but considering where we are in the league he's done well.

Never said he isn't, not better than or as good as Cech.

Well Robert Zeiler is better than him at least for now.

And I was stating that isn't just an "FM wonderkid", he is the real deal. Him and Reus are very much a two-man team :P

You should watch De Gea more before posting then. Second half of the season he is the best GK in the league.

I hardly miss a pl game, its funny when someone tells me "you should watch more often before posting".. I watch him constantly, no way he is better than Cech. He has good reflexes, but nothing more.

okay, this is becoming annoying now, we should stop all that "best GK" drama, everyone has their own opinion. its like Messi vs Ronaldo polemics.

Err no I didn't say you rated Reina as the best, I have seen LFC fans saying how he is the best in the world ignoring his mistakes at the same time they say Cech is not that good.

And league position has nothing to do with GK's ability.

My reply was more to do with Marc>Cech post. Yeah love watching them play, even more fun when Reus joins Dortmund next season, Surely one of the most exciting teams in Europe. Can't wait to see that.

okay mate. didnt say he is the best out there though, but still a top GK. anyway, lets move on now :)

Fair enough, but this isnt to knock him. Just pointing out how he good he actually was, about 3 years ago he was the best keeper in the world.

Cech is better than half them Goalkeepers, he pulls of some blinding saves sometimes. I was getting criticised by my Modric opinions but this, wow. Cech still better than Reina, Reina is a little mistake prone now. Cech is no longer 'world class' but neither is Reina. Sorry but Cech is still better than half the GK's in the Premier League and defiantly in top 5 goalkeepers in League.

Mignolet? That's a complete joke.

Good feeling beating the best team in the world isn't it? :)

I would make that in terms of beating Barca, London 2 Manchester 0 :P

If Chelsea keep that same standard next week they won't win. Can't expect Barca to miss that many sitters again

Barca will be forced to take even more of a risk in terms of pushing players forward which will make our counter attaking football even more dangerous.

Chelsea must score, preferably twice. We kept a clean sheet there few years back, and it was incredibly difficult to do so. And they are better now than back then. Score early and put the pressure on.

I don't share your sentiments that they are a better side then they were a few years ago. I just think Messi is better but defensivly they are much worse and going forward without Villa they miss that clynical finisher.

Man United restricted Barca to less chances than they got against Chelsea last night but still beat us, lets not forget Chelsea had a HUGE amount of luck last night, they practically missed three/four extremely easy chances, literally 9/10 times anyone would of scored them, the weather probably played a part.

They are better than they were. Messi has improved leaps and bounds, so did Iniesta, Biscuits, Pique, Alves. Puyol has regressed and to an extent we can say same about Xavi but now they have Fabregas, Thiago who are very very good players.

They were bit restricted in 2009 as Eto'o occupied CF spot and Messi used to play on wings, not with Eto'o gone they have much more flexible system where Pedro fits like a tee.

I just believe they can be got at a lot easier than a few years ago. The stats would add up too.

This season conceded: 41 in 57 games (with a possibility of 8 games left to play (6 definatly)).
Last season conceded: 36 in 60 games
Season 09/19: 39 in 59 games

same for Torres. 3 years and a half at the scum, and won nothing, it took him 6 months at Chelsea and won Barclays Asia Trophy, well yes, its not a major trophy, but still - a piece of silverware. And the FA Cup final is coming also.. Hope he plays in that game.

It's nothing. At all. Torres has won nothing at Chelsea as of yet. Otherwise Arsenals drought would only be the one year due to winning the Emirates cup.

Ridiculous.
