Important thing is for us to retain our defensive shape at all times and track Bayerns front three who have a habit of overloading one particular part of the pitch to open up defences. The good thing for us is that Bayern will inevitable leave space behind which we can exploit on the counter with the pace of Kalou, Sturridge and Mata

Also another thing to note is that when Bayerns front 3 find their space limited and chances few and far between... they turn against one another. They are a talented squad but their not the best of pals

Also i think because they are "at home" the longer the game goes at 0-0 or if we score early they will feel the pressure immensely.

Forget Ribery and Robben, you ignore Muller and Kroos at your peril.

Exactly, we will have to defend patiently and take our chances when they inevitably arrive. I would start Drogba for this game. He has proven himself time and time again that he can step it up in the big games. Not to mention that Munich will be playing a CB who is not a natural in that position so Drogba could give him a tough time

The thing I am worried about is who will form our double pivot. Lampard will have to be dilligent defensively because with the likes of Kroos, Mueller and Schwienstiger we will be overloaded through that area. I would take Mikel over Essien on the basis of form for the second place in the pivot

We dont really have much depth other than a few positions so hopefully this game does not run into extra time. For me the key player will be Mata, can he exploit the space he will surely find between the Midfield and Defence?

They wont feel the pressure, because the Bayern fans wont turn on them, they will just cheer harder. If anything being at home will spur them even more, make them more dangerous.

Not ignoring them ... Kroos will be forced into a more cultured role so he may not be as big a threat as he normally is. Mueller will obviously be a huge huge threat and Mikel will need to repeat the performance vs Benefica in the 1st Leg where he had Aimar in his backpocket.

Bayern have a seriously strong attack. I am hoping we can score first which will really out the pressure on them and force them to take the initiative and leave space behind

Anything can happen. Some players might feel more pressure at 0-0 with the noise and some players might not feel it at all. No one can tell

You've not been watching Bayern at home then. Speaking as a neutral, it will only spur them on. Especially the likes of Lahm and Bastian, and they will drive their team on. They thrive on the home feel.

They could end up with 2 years without a trophy, if they are losing or not winning then the longer the game goes on the more nerves and doubt settles in.

Kroos is a threat in any role, goes deep, becomes a deadly regista.

But the 'home' feel will not be as evident considering the number of Chelsea supporters that will be in the stadium as well

See my reply to alcaraz, both of you are talking with biased slant without seeing how they react at home. Do not expect nerves, don't even hope for it.

I think it depends how Bayern will line up, they have Van Buyten (sp) back but very unfit so if they don't risk him their only other DM Tmoschuk (sp) will play centre back. If that's the case then Bayern have no real holding player which can only be good for Mata.

Bayerns fans >>> Chelsea fans. There is an even number of tickets, but the Bayern fans are some of the best. It's their stadium, they will feel at home and they will thrive on it. Put it this way, the Bayern fans have been MEETING to get all the choreography right to make it as long as possible. That is what you are up against fan wise. Like i say, do not expect nerves, dont even hope for it.

This is a Champions League final though Mike, they are favourites with everyone game is being played in their manor so they are almost expected to win. This is not run of the mill game, they will feel pressure.

They will have more fans because the locals get some tickets and they are the locals.

Bayern are like United, driven to ****** minded stubborn levels. They thrive on this, so do their fans.

Your saying it like its a fact. Physcology is a funny thing. Just because the players are spurred on in normal league games does not mean that they will experience the same effect in a CL finals especially with the prospect of finishing the season trophyless hanging over their head and being favourites for the match.

Yes they may be spurred on or maybe they might feel the pressure. You cant tell
