Now i have downloaded podcasts i have never even heard of such as "hold the back page" and all the talk sport ones because i just want to keep constantly hearing Chelsea European Champions over and over again BUT....... Every pod i have listened to has just been a constant attack on John Terry. They seem to think he took the limelight by changing 3 times during the match and ending up in his kit even though he didn't play. More criticisms were that he celebrated too much, Didn't contribute to the final and nearly got us knocked out in the semi, shouldn't have been given a medal, shouldn't have even been on the pitch and even as far as shouldn't have even been in Munich!!!!! This was taken to even lower depths when on one pod a member stated he knew a journo who was quite close to Chelsea when they went to lift the trophy and heard Terry saying and i quote "get out the way (to the players in front of him), no one can ******* see me". With another saying he snatched the trophy from Kalou to make sure the paps got a good photo of him!
Not first of all, none of these podcasts fail to emphasise that EVERY team member had their kit on at the end of the game, JT, Ramires, Ivanovic, Meireles and even ******* Blackman, Kane and Chalobah!!!!!
My second point is this. Now i totally agree that he didn't help us in the final and even go as far to say he was a ******* idiot in Barcelona because at that time we were out and it was hugely his fault but...... We didn't go out so why keep blaming him for something which never happened? And he did more than his bit to get us to the final, they fail to point out his goal against Napoli which at that moment put us through on away goals!
My third point is that John Terry is one of us, he is a CHELSEA fan and in his eyes he lost his club this trophy 4 years ago so to help us win it which he did must have been such a relief and a weight off his shoulders.
Now a lot of the pods point out the whole Scholes and Keane thing back in 1999 saying they looked embarrassed to get involved with their teams celebrations and were forced to be given medals and shows what great men they are. Now i would twist that and say why not get involved, football is a very short career and you did help your side get there and you have as much right as anyone else to celebrate. I believe i am right in saying Keane admitted later on that he regretted not getting involved and only didn't because he believed he would win it again with them with him in the side. Let's be honest, JT will more than likely never win this again.
I know i have gone on and on and on but basically if you don't want to read my whole post then just read this conclusion bit here. PEOPLE HAVE LET THEIR PERSONAL OPINION OF TERRY OVER RIDE THIS OCCASION.
