Lucas Moura like all Brazilian players has incredible skill, flair and is technically very good. But his defending is shoddy at best and he needs to mature as a player considering he is only 19. Not to mention there are other aspects of him that has to be improved even more. Not sure why anyone would pay 40m for him

I will be chuffed if we do get Hazard but will only get real excited if we somehow snag Modric as well. First of all though we need to appoint a ****** manager because only then can we speculate the type of players we need to bring in

Why am I feeling that the (future) manager will have nothing to do with our transfers.... Oh, wait, I know why.

Surreal experience when you read transfer rumours about Chelsea and see all the journalists refer to Chelsea as the European Champions. For some reason Barcelona still is the first team that pops in my head whenever I read the world

We have obviously shown interest in him in the past. But he is not someone I would pay 40m for, the prices clubs in Brazil are demanding for their players is not parallel with their ability

Mainly due to sponsorships.

Dude you are exageratting. AVB actually brought in his own players. Mata, Meirless, Romeu, Lukaku were his own signings. Michael Emeleano is in-charge of buying players who will not slot into the first-team straight away such as De Bruyne, Patrick Bamford etc.

The only signing which has not happened in consultation with the manager this season is that of Marin and possibly Hazard but thats due to the fact that we still dont have a permanent manager!!

Lukaku was never his signing. ever. He brought Mata, Meireless, Romeu.

Rebuilding the Blues

Excellent article by Michale *** above. Really underlines what I have been saying all the time that the situation at Chelsea is not as bad as many people think although it could and should be improved this summer

Now i have downloaded podcasts i have never even heard of such as "hold the back page" and all the talk sport ones because i just want to keep constantly hearing Chelsea European Champions over and over again BUT....... Every pod i have listened to has just been a constant attack on John Terry. They seem to think he took the limelight by changing 3 times during the match and ending up in his kit even though he didn't play. More criticisms were that he celebrated too much, Didn't contribute to the final and nearly got us knocked out in the semi, shouldn't have been given a medal, shouldn't have even been on the pitch and even as far as shouldn't have even been in Munich!!!!! This was taken to even lower depths when on one pod a member stated he knew a journo who was quite close to Chelsea when they went to lift the trophy and heard Terry saying and i quote "get out the way (to the players in front of him), no one can ******* see me". With another saying he snatched the trophy from Kalou to make sure the paps got a good photo of him!

Not first of all, none of these podcasts fail to emphasise that EVERY team member had their kit on at the end of the game, JT, Ramires, Ivanovic, Meireles and even ******* Blackman, Kane and Chalobah!!!!!

My second point is this. Now i totally agree that he didn't help us in the final and even go as far to say he was a ******* idiot in Barcelona because at that time we were out and it was hugely his fault but...... We didn't go out so why keep blaming him for something which never happened? And he did more than his bit to get us to the final, they fail to point out his goal against Napoli which at that moment put us through on away goals!

My third point is that John Terry is one of us, he is a CHELSEA fan and in his eyes he lost his club this trophy 4 years ago so to help us win it which he did must have been such a relief and a weight off his shoulders.

Now a lot of the pods point out the whole Scholes and Keane thing back in 1999 saying they looked embarrassed to get involved with their teams celebrations and were forced to be given medals and shows what great men they are. Now i would twist that and say why not get involved, football is a very short career and you did help your side get there and you have as much right as anyone else to celebrate. I believe i am right in saying Keane admitted later on that he regretted not getting involved and only didn't because he believed he would win it again with them with him in the side. Let's be honest, JT will more than likely never win this again.

I know i have gone on and on and on but basically if you don't want to read my whole post then just read this conclusion bit here. PEOPLE HAVE LET THEIR PERSONAL OPINION OF TERRY OVER RIDE THIS OCCASION.

spot on. Terry deserved to be there. He is one of us.

This on Twitter: Ron Gourlay: "Fernando is the man who will score us the goals." That means we are not going to sign a striker and Lukaku won't be loaned.

Gourlay - "Next season we may well have two big-name centre-forwards scoring.. 25 to 30 goals for us."

(in before Torres won't score 25-30 goals)

Also hearing rumours we've released Kalou and Bosingwa, madness. I don't rate either that highly but both decent squad players. Signs of a busy, busy summer ahead.

Was this an impression of John Terry?

Apparently Bosingwa and Kalou will be released. Good news because neither of them are good enough. Only would mean its certain we will be in the market for a top quality RB

Also apparently Essien and Malouda are to be offered new contracts. I can understand the rationale behind this decision

Malouda is getting to an age now where he does not mind being a bit-part player. He will offer much needed strength in depth. The same cannot be said for Kalou who is fairly young and would probably not be satisfied with a bit-part role. Also I am pretty sure Malouda will have to take a cut in his wages as well

Same for Essien. At an age where he will not mind sitting on the bench. Would also offer strength in depth

Glad to see Gourlay give a vote of confidence to Torres. Really dont find the need to spend 40m on a top class striker when other positions need strengthening

Well from the link I gave above Gourlay says: "We may have two big-name centre-forwards scoring 25-30 goals for us next season and maybe then we will improve on our sixth position in the league."

So from that it seems they are going to be buying another forward to replace Drogba, so not relying on Torres. To be honest I can't really blame them for wanting two quality centre-forwards.
