God , how many times this year i've come back to this thread having to sort through 10 pages of non-football chatter because someone was racist again.

I'm surprised people are responding to that DarloGeorge guy. He's either trolling or has a serious vendetta against the club.

With due respect, doesn't matter what we think though does it. The case has been tried and what's done is done. Everyone has accepted it didn't look good for the club, so Roman took a hold of it and actually fined the player and seems to be laying down the law when it comes to behavioural standards as he must be fed up of it.

Perhaps it'd be easier if you stopped finding something to keep getting angry over, and actually engage fans about their football club. Most of them are very happy to discuss anything as long as you don't just turn up and insult their team (presumably for a reaction out of them), when all of this has been discussed 30+ pages ago. Rather than everyone having the same discussion again, just go back and read it and save everyone the trouble?

Giving players fines wont kick out racism. Football needs to hand out bans. And more than a pathetic 4 games

Well he was found innocent in a court of law. It still really has not been 100% proved he was racist and unless he does ever actually come out and say yes I did racially abuse Anton Ferdinand every Chelsea fan will back him.

Uh, to clarify, he was never found innocent. There wasn't enough evidence to find him guilty. Huge difference right there. Just an FYI.

I know it's only been 1500 years since ancient Romans first came up with it, but surely "innocent until proven guilty" must have reached the islands by now.

Oh **** just realized that Torres can play against Swansea as welll as he has already served a one-game ban. Dammit

Still think RDM should go for Sturridge up top myself. Will be annoyed if I see the name Torres in the line up today.

Yes, but he wasnt found innocent. The judge didnt believe his story, but there was enough reasonable doubt.
In short "I think your story is a crock of ****, but i cant quite prove it.", not the same as "There is no case for you to answer, there is proof that you did not do such a thing"

He wasnt found innocent, this really needs to be made clear. The judge didnt believe him, but there was just enough reasonable doubt.

I thought you knew, but you thought RDM would pick Sturridge anyway. lol. Maybe he will? Who knows. I dont even know who I want to see upfront anymore. Torres doesnt have the bollocks to score/beat the keeper when one-on-one. On the other hand, he is not fully useless. He is a team player, but not exactly what a striker should be like. His first touch is often horrid.

Fair enough but it just annoys me when people basically are saying Chelsea fans should not back Terry and basically hate him along with everybody else but they need to understand he is a club legend and the skipper. Of course if he did racially abuse Anton Ferdinand it was a disgraceful thing to do and deserves any punishments from the FA or the club but Chelsea fans will still see him as a club legend. I see it quite similar to Liverpool fans and Suarez because he racially abused Evra but Liverpool fans still back and adore him because he is a fantastic player and really right now is the best player in Liverpools squad.

Just because a court of law decided he wasn't guilty/couldn't be found guilty, doesn't mean you can't decide for yourself when there is already evidence. I guess OJ is innocent then?

Maybe in this case the term should be "ignorant until he's proven guilty".

Sturridge deserves a run of games tbh

I believe he has done for some time now and I would not of been too surprised if he departed in the summer but he stuck around thankfully and hopefully now is his big chance :)

Legal and actual innocence are different things, that was perhaps what he was trying to say.

Which is a textbook definition of being found innocent in court. Whether you actually believe it or not is a whole different story.
