It's hard to hate Roman. He made us the club we are today, capable of competing with the biggest clubs. Yes, he is a trigger-happy mug, often clueless, but we are better off with him than without.

If Atletico wins this weekend you might just get your Mourinho wish before Christmas.

Think you quoted the wrong person...

Which is what I said immediately after the Manchester United match.

Bench Torres. Give Sturridge a run of games. Concentrate all our efforts on getting Llorente and Moutinho in January. Flog Torres out for whatever measly sum we can get.

Sturridge maybe would have started to get a run under Robbie but there is no chance Rafa will play him all the time Torres is at the club.

1. Need a new/world-class/blabla striker.
2. Need a Moutinho.

I said at the start of the season playing this formation that Josh would suit that role the best.

As a massive lift etc i'd love Jose back obviously but is it what Roman wants? He wants Barcelona in west London and Jose wont bring that and neither will Rafa.

Fifa Coach of the year Shortlist included Pep Guardiola, Vicente Del Bosque and Jose Mourinho. Yes that's right no Roberto Di Matteo!!!!! I can understand Del Bosque and Jose but Barca won the Spanish Cup last season and that was it!!!!

A quote on the official Fifa website on his yearly achievements "It could also be said that his players failed to enjoy the run of the ball in the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea".

Presumably they've been swayed by RDM's atrocious league form. I agree he should be on the shortlist though. TBH most of these awards are ****. In England the MOTY and POTY awards rarely go the the people who deserve them IMO.

RDM's win ratio is only around 57% while at Chelsea. Not great, and not worthy of a manager of the year, no matter what he won in Europe.

Considering the league was put on the back burner towards the end of last season as we focused on winning the CL and the club being in transition they would effect the ratio. At the end of the day he steered a sinking ship to a CL and FA cup double, a lot more than what Pep did in 2012.

Pretty sure Pep has a better hair to stubble ratio than RDM though.. Got to think about these things Carl.

Meh. None of these manager rewards make sense last couple of years. Seems like only the biggest name on the media get recognized, regardless of how season went. Same with Golden Ball or whatever its called these days, there's always Messi winning , even when Sneijder carried Inter to treble and Holland to WC final in 2010.

Apparently we are looking at Southampton LB Luke Shaw as a replacement for Ashley Cole in the summer. Technical Director Michael Emeleano feels that Shaw's rapid development will ensure he is ready to play a part for Chelsea immediately.

I kind of feel Emeleano knows what he is doing. He has brought in great young prospects to the club such as De Bruyne, Lukaku ad Courtois so hopefully he is right in pursuing Shaw.
