Of course Roman cares about the fans. How else will he get money from Chelsea?

As for this private meeting has anybody else come out and said they were there?

I miss Mourinho, and I miss his Chelsea. Sure we were pretty much universally hated, but teams had a real begrudging respect for us. We played fast, powerful football. When we were losing a 2-0 with 5 minutes to go, it wasn't over. We could still win.

Idk, maybe watching Torres strop around and watching our team of midgets get dominated by a stiff breeze is making me overly nostalgic, but I'd take that old Chelsea of fire and passion back in a heartbeat. It's not like we couldn't keep our best/most exciting players: Mata, Luiz, Ramires, Oscar etc all seem to really dislike losing. They just need a manager that will help to increase that overwhelming desire to win.

As cool as all this intricate passing can be, you know you would still rather watch us play fast, powerful football with

somebody-Cahill-Luiz-Az
Mikel
Ramires-Oscar/Fellaini
Hazard/Oscar-Mata
Falcao

I will be at my first away game of the season tomorrow :) Hopefully will get to witness Chelsea win for the first time in what feels forever!

It is hard to sympathise considering how many managers Roman has been through though, I know it is not the fans fault but when you think about it....

Ancelotti, Mourinho, AVB (I rate AVB highly, despite a lot of Chelsea fans who don't). I won't count Hiddink.

These managers especially nearly any club would give anything for and you have chucked them away like they are replaceable. The way Roman deals with this it was always going to end up like this, although lets be honest you still have a great manager currently at the helm in Rafa, whether he will last long is another story.

I also rate AVB highly. I saw what he was trying to do and I think will 2-3 more seasons he could have pulled it off. But it didnt help having players like Terry and Cole getting all upset and turning the dressing room against him because they knew there time was almost up

We played fast, powerful football.

Thing is , it takes competent fans and pundits to appreciate and enjoy that brand of football. For casual fans physically dominating opponents is not "pretty". ****, Real made the goal record last year, so clearly games were fun to watch, and yet i didn't see mainstream media praise their style. But here everyone was drooling over just how brutal their swarm-style counterattacking is.

Unfortunately it seems Roman wants "pretty". It may be just for bussiness reasons and not because he wants to fap while watching Chelsea reach 70% possession, but the fact remains.

Azpilicueta deserves to be starting over Iva in the RB spot. He has looked class whenever he has played

How about....

--Moutinho--Fellaini--
Hazard--Mata--Oscar

Yeh and Ivanovic deserves a place in a CB spot, he is better than both Cahill and Luiz by some distance.

Over the last few days people who i know personally and trust have confirmed this 100% happened.

Team to face West Ham: Cech (c); Azp, Iva, Cahill, Cole; Ram, Obi; Moses, Mata, Haz; Torr. Subs: Turn, Ferr, Ber, Rom, Mar, Osc, Piaz. #CFC

We played some really good football in the first half, solid on the attack and defensively. Moses has been a beast btw.

Ref is struggling a bit.

Liking Sambos' subs, good impact already.

I'm wondering what Mikel is even doing on the pitch half the time.

Edit:
Rafa: 1st sub off... what?! Edin was getting into it? Moses was the weaker/ening wide man.
2ndly, left it a bit long, needed to plug up the Diame situation much quicker.

Azpi is playing very well, winning the battle against Jarvis. Makes me wonder why RDM played him so sporadically.
