Sure, but still wouldnt be my first choice for a team thats badly lacking physical presence. Its already almost like watching Barca, there's someone falling over every 30 seconds.

Before someone says "well it works for Barca , doesn't it?" - well it does, but Barca defends with possession, big difference.

Anyway, rumour is Alonso wants to leave Madrid, so there's solution right there.

Despite his being on the wrong side of 30 I believe I would still take Alonso in a heartbeat. Also now with Rafa as manager and him being the one who brought Alonso the England that could certainly help us get him if the rumours are true that he wants out of Madrid.

Torres is getting that confident smile back that I fell in love with when he was at Liverpool.

I've never had a feeling of hating someone so much, yet it hurts when they're missing open goals and having the shittest form possible. Great to see he's finally doing well.

The feeling is comparable to seeing your ex without someone else when you still like them.

Just thought I'd share that lads.

Of course you are still going to have feelings for him after how magnificent he was at Liverpool. I could say the same about Joe Cole he was my favorite Chelsea player for a good while and when he left for Liverpool I was gutted and at first slagged him off but really I still liked him and I still do and I was delighted to see him score yesterday.

Good grief, it's like looking at a messy breakup in here.

Got any ex Villa player you want to share your feelings for whilst we are at it? :P

Actually, no. Not anymore. I was angry when Barry left, but I was younger then, and I don't dislike him anymore. He was still a great servant to our club. Likewise Young and Milner left to further their careers, and I don't blame them.

Downing I should hate, but instead I find myself laughing uproariously at his awfulness.

I am getting reports that Romeu has damages his anterior cruciate ligaments and will not play again this season.

Its not confidence smile, he smiles in anticipation of special massage from uncle Rafa. Why do you think he is suddenly so goal hungry.

Is a shame if true as its clear he has some talent. Hope this is just a made up rumour though.

That's a rather large silver lining, actually. Forcing Roman/Rafa to invest in the midfield might mean you come up with Moutinho or the like.

Oh I'd love Moutinho. The best player we can get at the moment I believe, and the type we need the most. Ah, one can only dream.

Somewhat sad that the two positions that need improving most are the two we've been strongest in the past decade. Missing Lamps and Drogba more than we thought!

Leaves us massively short for the Leeds game when we come back from Japan. Mikel and Ramires suspended and Romeu injured! Looks like a midfield two of Lamps and Oscar unless we give George Saville a game?

I feel bad for Romeu but this is good in a way. We are certain to get a midfieldr in January now. Modric please :P
