Haven't had a more nervous 20 mins in a long time.

Slightly concerned about our inability to restrict the amount of crosses coming in though. Baines in particular was often not closed down, allowing him to swing some great crosses in. Cole's positioning for the goal was non-existent but Super Frank got us the goals we deserved.
 
Fantastic win! Lampard has scored in every game he has started this season :) also if any Chelsea fans don't know Demba Ba is set to meet with Chelsea reps tonig to discuss a possible January move :)
 
Who was it earlier in the season who said to me that Chelsea should get rid of Lampard? Bet you feel like a right mug now. Lampard is Chelsea's best center mid by miles and they need his goals until they get a new striker.

Says more about Chelsea's midfield than Lampard.

To be fair mate it's hard to defend them crosses from Everton, that has been their main choice of attack all season and they're riding high on it.

True true, I suppose I'd just like to have seen Ramires or Azpi getting out to Baines quicker&at least make it difficult for him.

On a side note, based on that performance, my Everton crush would've been through the roof were they not playing us. Lovely team to watch.
 
So pleased with them 3 points today as its a ground we do struggle at. I will say if we lost or drew today i wouldn't have complained at all as Everton were the better side for sure. My take on this is that although they had 60-70 minutes of the game a good side don't need that long to win games and that is what happened today. Credit where credit is due for Rafa and he saw early on Ramires in the midfield 3 did not work and reverted back to 4-2-3-1 so full credit for that. As for our match winner what else can be said about the man, just keeps popping up with goals and we are unbeaten with him in the side in the PL this season winning 10 of 11 which shows how important he still is to this side. I will say i was massively dissapointed with the pass completion % of our midfielders today especially in the first half, against a better side we would have been punished massively and it would have been game over in the first half.

On the Ba situation you don't understand how happy i will be if we pull this one off for 2 reasons. One because he is a fantastic striker and a low risk option in terms of cost and adaptibility to the English game. And two because i said 18 months ago when he was leaving WHU on a free that we should snap him up and got laughed at immensely. Who's laughing now!!!!

You were unlucky today mate, thought you played really well and maybe without certain injuries/suspensions it may have been different. You will have a great season this season without a doubt.
 
Why the Frank hate. Sure he may not fit into any modern tactical system known on this planet, but at the end of the day i'm certain 99% managers wouldn't care as long as he can consistently hammer 20 goals a season and dozen assists.

To be honest always knew losing Fellaini would be a big blow due to what he does in mid and up front. Take him away and it's a hard void to fill. But without Gibbo aswell and Phil it definately aggravated the situation. Though DM was wrong to confront the ref. Admitted it too.

2nd half of the season pretty much depends on clubs around us, especially the bigger clubs like Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, as clubs around will be spending whereas we won't be. Still think we'll make Europe and to be honest I don't care if it's CL or Europa. Anything is better than nothing
