Well if anything that makes it certain he already has new job lined up, otherwise I can't imagine how the "everything burn as long as I get payed" could possibly attract new employers.

Pretty smart move by him. He is under contract at Real Madrid but is desperate to leave and does not want to pay the €20 million break clause so he is making his position at Madrid totally untenable by burning bridges with his players and the media, if he had any with them anyways. Madrid will be forced to let him go and will have no choice to negotiate his departure

Lets hope for his sake that it works, because with the money involved, I'd imagine club has some protection in the contract against employees trying to pull this sort of thing.

Similar to, say, if Madrid were to make him train youth teams or guard broom closet in an attempt to force him out.

As much as the guy pissess me off sometimes, I'd hate for him to get caught up in some prolonged legal drama and not be able to take over new club this year.

Eh, it's Jose. One of the best managers in the world, and certainly the most interesting. Short of him literally taking a **** on Fiorentino Perez's desk, he'll always have prospective employers lining up at his door.

Not the worst result in the world. I suspect we need another 3 points to ensure a Top 4 finish now though.

Lampard on? No. Demba Ba on? No. Yossi Benayoun who whenever has played has been useless and could not give a **** abit the club? Yes!

Rafas logic.

No idea why those Spurs fans were cheering after full-time, hasn't Champions League qualification just been taken out of their hands? Knobs

Win against Villa is enough to be honest

Yup, maximum they can get is 72 points, we win against Villa, we'll be on 72, but our goal difference is much better than theirs (+18 - +34) Although a win here would have sufficed, it would mean we could play a weakened team vs Villa, ahead of the Benfica game.

Couldn't give two hoots about the Benefica game to be honest. Secure CL qualification and set the stage for Jose's return

Don't we want the 3rd place? I know I do.

Arsenal have to go to St James' Park and that won't be easy as Newcastle are fighting to stay in the PL.

Also they play Wigan before that. Hopefully they lose a couple of points.

Aye Arsenal have to face off against two teams embroiled in a relegation dogfight so hopefully they do drop some points

You play a relegation threatened villa and an Everton side with an excellent record against big teams, who may well be playing their last match for Moyes. Top 4 is still wide open.

Yossi does care about the club. In fact I'm gonna stick up for him here, being professional while being subject to anti-semitic abuse from chelsea fans, and not for the first time.

Yossi is not good enough.. to say the least. I don't care how much he cares about the club, he's just not good enough.

We ain't exactly relegation threatened. We've hit 40 points, after all. It's improbable we'd go down now.

On the other hand, if you want to make the argument that Villa are in good form and have had a bit of a habit recently of coming up with surprising results against Chelsea, I think it'd be fair.

Not really the point, certainly not a reason to justify the abuse he gets.

He's an extra body for a small squad, thats basically his status

Mike, calm down and read what I post.

I'm not even mentioning the abuse problems, all I'm trying to say is: Yossi is not good enough to be on that pitch representing us.
