Now Zola has resigned from Watford! Is this a part of Jose's plan bringing back AVB and Clarke into his coaching team along with Zola ;) :p

Watford have been on a shocking run of form recently (1 win in 10 games, and lost to 2 clubs in the relegation zone) otherwise I'd think he'd got the West Brom job.

Do you think he'd actually go back into coaching? I thought he did well in his first job as a full manager. Not to mention it was in the prem!

I can't see Clarke returning as a coach myself only said what I did as a laugh as in Jose's first spell he was of course the assistant and AVB was the chief scout.

Gonna cry now.

That would be a ******* dream team Jose, AVB (although I don't like him and his methods - he's ******* clueless), Clarke and Zola!!!!!

He's obviously very knowledgeable about the game, he was just a bit too idealistic and struggled to react to situations he hadn't prepared for. That's why he was a very, very good opposition scout and why sadly (I like the guy and feel quite sorry for him) he isn't capable of overseeing a top club until he works those weaknesses out.

He must work on a lot of things as well - one of them is man-management. Should I remind you what he did to a few Chelsea players? **** that guy.

So it seems like we are pretty close to signing Fredy guarin. Anyone know how good he is?

You make it sound like he was going around handing out roofies at training and giving his own brand of AVB massages in the training room.

Well, you gotta say the whole 'Chelsea backroom munity' saga can be seen from a completely different perspective now.

Its almost 2 years and AVB still makes the same mistakes Lamps and co have been giving him **** for.

So hey, maybe they were in the right after all.

Pretty sure that in retrospect NOBODY was in the right in that situation. Lampard et al were behaving like spoiled children, AVB was mucking up and Abramovich was as impatient as ever.

Very good.

He used to be a deep midfielder, but recently he's been playing higher up. He's a good, energetic all-rounder with a vicious shot and solid technique. Think Arturo Vidal, just not quite as good (obviously) and with more of a focus on attacking. He'd be an interesting choice, but I'd like to see him in the Prem.

I liked him more at Porto. Thing is, he is what he is. He won't get much better.

That's not really a problem though is it? He's in the prime of his career, versatile and a properly good player. He'd be brilliant in centre midfield for you lot.

A LOT of players would be brilliant in our CM. Rofl. Seriously.

Yes, he would be a good buy I guess. We might try getting POGBA just to see Mike mad.

Oh god please don't get Pogba. Between him and a good new striker Chelsea would be utterly terrifying.

Stick him next to a good defensive player and he is a huge threat in a 4-2-3-1. Or a natural successor to Lampard in a 4-3-3

Between Guarin and the return of Van Ginkel, our CM should be pretty set for the second half of the season. Would still like to see Lampard let go in the summer and we use the wages freed up to get some proper world-class talent like Gundogan
