Salah is quick as lightning ... Great option to have off the bench

Hazard is probably going to be worlds best winger in couple of seasons. Amazing player. What's Salah like?

****** quick. Looks to get in behind the defense. Had a couple of great opportunities although he mucked them up badly. An attacking midfielder with questionable finishing ... Just what we needed :)

People can call Eto'o what they want ... On the pitch he is a class act. Really hope we retain him and dump that sorry excuse for a striker called Torres

I wouldn't even have him back at Pool, despite still having a soft spot for him. It's a shame how he turned out really.

Best thing you could do is try to use him as makewight in a deal to sign Costa. Don't get me wrong, you'll only manage to save 5-7m by including him in the deal, Atletico are by no means idiots, but you'd manage to free a sizeable amount of wages for decent players... provided he is willing to lower his wages and join his boyhood club instead of doing a Kaka.

I'd even release him for free if he's willing to depart on lower wages. It would save upwards of 20M

What's up with all this Torres bashing, pretty sure he never played today??

Well think i can say this may have been the best day of the season so far wouldn't you? A Hazard hat-trick, Arsenal getting hammered and City drawing which put us top.

On the game it was a 2 moments of brilliance which put us clear in the 1st half with Hazard being the outstanding party. The 1st goal was excellent, the ball out to Brana, the pass by Brana to Hazard and the finish was so difficult. And the 2nd goal just proved German football pundit Raphael Honigstein's opinion last week right when he said "Chelsea are the best counter attacking side in Europe". But the ball back to Hazard by Eto'o was just delicious, i think one of our best goals this season. I think it shows how close the team are at the moment not just that Lampard let Hazard take the penalty but the way Hazard went straight up to him after scoring the goal.

Every week i seem to keep saying how much i am enjoying watching this side, i think its clear to see Jose has very much stamped him authority on this team.

I have to say, I've been proven wrong by Eto'o - I thought he would be a flop, but he's been brilliant in recent games (after have a settling-in period).

Exactly, and for a very good reason. He's ****.

To be fair he was injured ... That said, whenever Torres was no scoring, we would all point to his 'effort' on the pitch and blah blah blah to try and justify that he wasn't a complete flop. However, Eto'o came in and showed how much more a striker can do even if he doesn't score goals

He's only 32. Most people seem to forget that and think he went off to Anzhi when he wasn't good enough for European football anymore, like many of the old MLS stars.

Position: Striker
Price: 50 mil.
Apps/Goals: 154/42

Oh, yeah. He is a flop.

19 goals in 99 premier league games. That's a goal every 5* games.

Even at 42 goals in 154 apps thats only a goal every 3 and a half games, as opposed to his record at Liverpool were he had a goal every 1.7 games. He's played just over the same amount of games he had at Liverpool now, but only scored half the goals.

Yes his goal record isn't that bad for a striker but considering he was expected to keep it up, and considering he cost 50 million pound and god knows what in wages, yes he is a flop.

My opinion on Torres is he has been a pretty good player for Chelsea but just not been worth nowhere near the price paid for him.

Yeah he has been a useful player for us on occasion but whatever way you look at it, he is worth nowhere near 50m. Eto'o scores at around the same rate as him but still has much much more to his all-round game

Anyways ... Big game against West Brom. Good chance to build a gap on Arsenal considering that they are playing United in their next fixture
