Carlos Puyol is to leave Barcelona in the summer. Luiz to barca anyone? I for one wouldn't be too sad to see him go if we manage to recieve a high transfer fee and with Zouma joining in the summer.

I like Luiz but if they are willing to pay 30+mill for him and with Shaw possibly joining which will allow Azpi to go right back so Brana can be a centre back again and also Zouma coming in i personally wouldn't be so annoyed.

Let him leave if they put a bid. Seriously, I won't ever trust him. We need reliability, JT-level of reliability.

I'd be happy to depart with him if we bring in Witsel, just for the hair.

Jokes apart, he hasn't looked reliable in defense, which he has been scapegoat on a couple of occasions, he still makes far too much mistakes for my liking.

Zouma is far far less capable on the ball, though.

Utd were the only side in for him at the time and as has been said a million times he WANTED to stay in England and why should we be bitter and treat him poorly and refuse his demands? He had been an excellent servant to us so why shouldn't we accept his demands.

Right so let's just bend over for United after they ****** up our summer by not selling us Rooney ... Seems fair

How did they **** up our summer by not selling Rooney? We did all the business they wanted, they couldn't and Fellaini was panick buy.

It should be "We screwed their summer".

Lol ... We put all our eggs in one basket by going after Rooney. Once we realised very late on that we couldn't get him, we had no choice but to settle for a 32 year-old from Russia. Without getting this star striker in the summer, our season has been far more difficult than it could have been. We could easily have been 10 points clear by now if we had a proper striker

Us chasing after Rooney and United's failed summer window has absolutely NO relation

What are you talking about? You really didnt have an effect on our summer, nor did you do the business we wanted (newsflash, United not chasing any of your targets). Trying to claim too much success here.

**** we made it pretty clear we wouldn't sell Rooney.

He gambled on Rooney demanding to leave. He misjudged Rooney's misgivings and grieviances.

Whoever was whispering into Jose's ear during the summer that he had a chance of getting Rooney was incredibly mistaken ... Chelsea had a bad summer window in all honesty. No proper striker and the only midfielder we bought went and tore his ACL

Oh and on the topic of MvG, he is back in full training. Enough time to play himself back into the WC squad?

Wouldnt say bad, Willian has turned out to be excellent. And you had a fantastic Jan trading Mata out for Matic.

Willian has been excellent but again he was a luxury buy as opposed to someone who actually filled a need in the squad. De Bruyne would not have been too much of a significant downgrade. Let's not forget that one of the main reasons we went for Willian was because Spurs were close to getting him

Completely agree on the January part. Still sore that we let Mata go to United. Something like this will definitely hurt us in the future

Depends on what we do in the summer. If we get it right, then yes, could come back to haunt you big time. I have to be honest, I back us to get it right (in terms of transfers anyway), whether its with Moyes in charge or not.

Yeah, just find it dumb how you guys stood steadfast over Rooney and we basically shipped Mata out to United with no qualms

I know we did not. I'm just saying nor did the Rooney saga, I just said if anything, opposite can be said not that. It's hard to convey tones on the internet.

Also Alcaraz, Jose wanted a striker who can play in tight spaces, has work rate and plays for the team with excellent link up. We did not want another poacher as he'd definitely get isolated. There were very very few players who qualify in that bracket and Rooney was the most possible option. Aguero and Suarez were unrealistic targets.

Likes of Falcao remain around 18 yard box relying on through balls and service, of our AMs, only Hazard passes around the box and that tells you about the situation.

Also, Injury to MvG does not make the transfer window, bad. That's batshit insane logic.

Because Rooney has been their best player this season and is showing fantastic commitment on the pitch, regardless of what people say.

Mata on the other hand was benched, not happy and wasn't enjoying his football. We got 37M for him.

Comparing two situations is wrong. And I find it dumb how you feel we just bent over for United. I thought no one would have doubts after Jose explained it, but I was wrong.

MvG is coming back that means more options in the mid in UCL when matic isn't eligible

MvG was not registered in UCL I think, you can confirm on UEFA's website. He is also not eligible for "B" list. We still have Ake, though. Baker/RLC can do a decent job at this level as well.

Also I doubt MvG will get a game in first team, maybe some sub apps for rehab in matches we're winning at the end, will most probably play with reserves.

Because unlike you, not all of us have their heads so far up Jose's *** that we refuse to objectively analysis things he says or does
