Very true, glad it's been this close all season too.
I can see us picking up a result in one of the two, might even decide who wins the league in the end <)
 
24 years and no defeat at home to Spurs but it feels better and better every time we beat them still doesn't it. I have a few gripes to air first, how poor, slow and sloppy we seem to be in the 1st half of games and how shockingly poor we are from corners! This is genuine because i manage a Sunday league side and corners are a better standard of quality at that level than any current Chelsea player and it drives me crazy!


All that bollocks aside F*****G GET IN THERE!!! Massive win that, and although Spurs had a hand in all our goals we looked far more dangerous and in control before that and i suspect we would have got the goal we needed. It was a tad annoying Sandro finished the game because he should have walked so early in the game and obviously annoying the early call on Eto'o was called wrongly and Hazard should have scored too. But who cares, 4-0 against Spurs is so pleasing 7 points ahead of Arsenal/Liverpool and 9 ahead of City, all pressure has been placed directly on the Citizens.

Their pressing high up the pitch unsettled us quite a lot in first half, couldn't strong a couple of passes together in opposition half. Our team has lacked composure on the ball and it has started to get me worried.

Props to Jose for making a positive change with Oscar substitution, he gave another body to pass to in opposition half and he can hold on to the ball even if ferociously pressed.

That first minute offside call and probably sending off for Lloris..
 
Scored vs Liverpool. Scored a hat-trick vs United. Scored vs Spurs. Played fantastic against City. No one can deny that Samuel Eto'o steps up for the big games. Even Mourinho told Eto'o before the game that 'he will score because it is his destiny'.

Eto'o is a great champion ... Will be mighty disappointed to see him leave at the end of the season but hopefully we give him an EPL medal to add to his already decorated career

Doubt that. We will be buying a new (main) striker in the summer, which reduces his chances.


Is there any truth in that Torres to Inter rumour? 20m? I mean, I would even put a ribbon on him for that money. Please, Inter.

Mourinho does seem to like him though, so I'd say Ba and Torres would be more likely to leave. And if you managed to get ?20 million for Torres, that's practically extortion!

Azpilicueta put in another solid performance against Spurs. Is it fair to say that he is the best full-back in the EPL at the moment?

Could not dis-agree at all! He has been so consistent but we all know why he won't ever be Spain's first choice fullback

That doesn't make him first choice starter, yet, or does it? He got his chance, I'm glad and the Spanish Hierarchy seem impressed.

Bosque were actually planning to use him at right for 45 minutes and at left for rest of the 45 minutes since he thought Azpi might feel 'out of position' (I realize) at right back having played left back most of the season but he did fine and they continued him at RB.

That was a friendly, Smalling started for England but he won't be first choice at the world cup will he? Means very little. I hope Del Bosque goes against the natural cause and picks someone who doesn't play for the big 2 in Spain and picks someone who is far far better than Arbeloa.

I know there has been a lot of discussion on who should be our next captain after JT and after watching the European Football Show on BTsports (which i highly recommend) i may have found a long term solution. This video is after St-Etienne's 1-0 win against Monaco last week and that man leading the very vocal rally in the dressing room after the game is none other than Chelsea bound Kurt Zouma! If he is showing this sort of leadership skills at the tender age of 19 then we may have found ourselves a genuine replacement for JT one day, one hopes!
