He got less than a season. There is no way you can use that to argue that he got loads more time.

To put it into context: When he was sacked, Chelsea were out of the title race and top 4. Verge of elimination from the CL and FA cup. Eliminated from the league cup. Any other manager would have been sacked by November in his position. AVB survived longer than most and would have been alright if he didn't alienate just about everyone. It's lazy to just say that 'Oh he only got one season, not enough time hur hur'

That was a season of serious transition. The squad was far inferior to the squad today and whilst the results were slightly worse, it can argued that it is about the same as this season, in terms of results.

Bearing in mind that the squad was worse and needed much more improvement than this season's squad, AVB shouldn't have been sacked if you think Mourinho shouldn't be sacked.

It's not lazy. It's bang on correct. So does get all pent because your awful idea that Roman suddenly gives managers time immediate gets blown out the water. Because he went and sacked AVB's successor pretty quickly too, and he won the Champions league. You're alking nonsense mate

Because he neve really believed in RDM in the first place ... Everyone knew he was just warming the seat for Pep

since Jose left, only Avram Grant and Carlo Ancellotti have lasted more than 50 games.

So he never really gave him time then. Which is my point.

He didn't give home time because he that's was his intention from the start. He never believed in RDM. He was only using him to warm the dugout seat. And in all seriousness, do you think RDM could have been a manager for the long-term at Chelsea? Obviously not

That's not the point. The point is that you argue he gives managers time. he doesn't. If he thinks he can get something better he will drop them like a dirty sock. which is what has happened, time and again.

That is the point. If he truly believes in someone, he will give them time like he did with AVB. If someone better is available, I dont see why we shouldn't bring them in instead. Any club in the world would do the same

He doesn't believe in anyone, he believes in winning (and whoever can provide). You keep making excuses, but you're actually reinforcing my point: he does not give you time if you do not deliver. Which is why you have such a high turnover. Roman does not give you time.

he didn't give AVB time. he didn't even reach 50 games. Ludicrous to suggest he had enough time.

I think its fair to say "didn't give you time" but all the stuff coming out of the club this season is pointing to stability, Jose has full say in the market which is massively important and rare.

I'm not trying to argue whether roman is right or not, or whether the likes of AVB were good enough. My point is that Roman is ruthless. Jose will get more than your average, because he is so good, but as we saw the first time, Roman will you loose if you don't deliver. The club should back Jose, you're not going to get a better manager than him. But we know what Roman is like.

Yes exactly he doesn't provide time if you don't deliver. Did AVB deliver? No. He would have survived a trophy-less season if he gave the team some identity and sense of stability which he was unable to provide. RDM might have survived if he wasn't so clueless tactically. Jose will survive because even if he wins nothing, he has given Chelsea am identity and a clear road map for the future

Dude, TROPHIES. ROMAN. WANTS. TROPHIES. Roman is not impressed by identity and all that ****. He wants (major) silverware.

LOL. Roman doesn't care about identity. he cares about winning. Joes wont survive if you win nothing for two seasons.

It's long been obvious what he cares about, baffled as who why he looks for the contrary when there is no evidence for it.
