A bit harsh on legends like Osgood, Kerry, Bobby, Ron etc. But I see what you mean. Absolute legend for this club, absolutely love the man and wish him all the best and hope he'll be at the club someday as a coach.

Well I wasn't alive when those four were playing for the club and have only seen some old clips of them so he is the greatest for me followed by Gianfranco. The amount of goals he has scored from midfield, his intelligence on the pitch and all the stuff he has achieved and won at this club is what makes him my greatest player in a Chelsea shirt. Frank can never be replaced.

That's like calling Michu a midfielder.

Michu is a midfielder, he only ever played as a striker as Swansea had no strikers (schecter doesn't count) for the second half of last season, scoring a minimal amount of goals. Michu has only played well for Swansea as a mid who arrives in the box late. Or scoring headers, highest in bpl in 2012/13 :)

If you manage to sign Fabregas then **** me, your team will be formidable next year..... assuming Costa goes through as well.

Might disagree with that! It's mostly semantics here really. Alright, if I amend it to "That's like calling Tevez a midfielder when he plays just off Llorente", I think that probably conveys my point a bit more accurately.

Thank you :)

Torres can dribble. I can give him that.

Whenever I imagine Torres dribbling it's almost as there are two discrete motions in that it seems as though he runs and the ball comes as an afterthought. I have this picture in my head of Torres dragging the ball alongside him as he runs as opposed to the "ideal" of having the ball "glued to his feet". Conventional it is not, but on the odd occasion that it comes off it's spectacular in its own way.

Thinking about it, the fact one of the only ways I find pleasure from our record signing is his ability to sometimes, very rarely, run past a Nemanja Vidic-shaped pylon typifies the struggles of watching Chelsea harmlessly probe at 19th century defences and surrendering league titles at the hands of relegation candidates.

Oh how I love being a Chelsea fan.

Yes i'm absolutely gutted, while i was at work tonight i managed to get so ahead i decided i would actually have 30mins break for the first time in so long! So i log onto the internet and see the news we all knew was coming! Frustrated, devastated, annoyed, confused plus many more is how we are all feeling as Chelsea fans but i'd also add inevitable to that list.
In my opinion as i said a few days ago Lampard is the best player to ever wear the clubs shirt, i wasn't around for the days of Osgood or Tambling and was too young for Dixon but i know all about them and what they offered to this football club. But for me a man who is our highest goal scorer despite being a midfielder, a man who scored so many crucial goals, a man who turned up in all the big games and a man who is well just a brilliant man himself for me deserves to be labelled the best ever for Chelsea Football Club.

I think we do have to look at the positives here though Lampard for me is a 4-3-3 man (the same as Ramires) so he did find it tough playing a more reserved role. He was not as important last season has he has been in the past and his playing time will only decline more next season. He also was earning around 7million a year which will help us now with FFP in play to sign someone to take his place (not replace because that will never happen).

It was always going to be a tough summer, ladies and gents we are well and truly coming to the end of an era. Cole and Lampard gone, Cech may be replaced by Courtois next season too. And it hurts, i am one of the ones hurting but we have to look to the future now. We supported the last era and look at the success we had in the past 10 years, no-one would have dreamt of. So lets get behind the process of starting a new era not forget the last one but put it behind us and who knows what the next 10 years could bring us.

I thank Frank Lampard for all his moments in blue, i wish him all the luck in the world with what he does next and i hope he comes back one day as coach or even manager.

KTBFFH!!!

Think he's going to be sorely missed not just because of his skill. It's his lack of ego, professionalism, inspiration to younger players, leadership-the core ingredients for a tremondous player. The Prem is going to be weird to watch in the next few seasons as the golden generation of players leave either to retire, or go to pastures new.

Pretty sure Mourinho has said that Lampard is the most professional player he has ever worked with, and for whatever reason I don't find that difficult to believe in the slightest. End of an era.

Graham Hunter says he believes Fabregas will join Chelsea, gaining some pace this one.

I think Fabregas will join because of a lack of alternatives right now. His first choice (arsenal) don't want to take up the option. United were the first to say no, even though that's the club that would give him the most freedom. City would rather keep Toure.

Question is, do Chelsea really want him? Or it's all media ****.

We've talked about this one with Subtle, and we definitely can't see it. Is Fabregas Jose type of player?

I think he works hard and if anything he is more an English type player than Spanish and Jose loves his English type players. He's more versatile than others around, cheaper and classed as home grown.

How about Koke? Kroos?

How about Koke? Kroos?

Kroos for me is just holding out for a big deal at Bayern and if he has half a decent WC will get it. Koke seems as if he wants to play for Barca hence why they want to raise the funds by selling Cesc.
