Yeah, Lukaku was poor today, even worse than last time out. Partially that's due to Belgium's play, but he hardly moved.

Lukaku and fantastic should never be in the same sentence. A lot of neutrals are seeing him in full matches now, rather than just MOTD which can make him look like a world beater.

Still doesn't mean he hasn't had two good seasons with Everton and West Brom in PL though.... I can still see why he wants a position where he wants to play more regardless of how bad he has been in the WC so far.... Belgium have been poor in general.

He's had two good seasons in terms of goal scoring. In terms of improving as a player? Not so good, the season in our reserves didn't exactly help either.

It's understandable that he wants to play every week, but he shouldn't be getting in a strop if a team like us won't give him that opportunity YET. We aren't Everton or WBA, and he isn't good enough yet.

Isn't that what strikers are ultimately judge on... goals?

I'd send him out on another season loan to Everton or give him rotation role because lets face it... Torres is **** so he should be gone.
 
Tbh I would keep him at Chelsea next season. Let him fight for a spot. Being around and competing against players like Costa will only bring out the best in him. Playing around better quality players during training and matches should help too. Lukaku has a long way to go in his development and keep in mind that physical players really only mature at around 24-25. Drogba was one who was only really noticed when he was 25. Patience is key

Obviously this is presuming that A) Mourinho wants him which is probable considering he wanted to keep him last season and B) He wants to compete
 
I think we are currently seeing every reason why Jose doesn't want Lukaku at Chelsea especially with his reaction to being subbed!
 
Not sure how reliable but apparently Lukaku's agent has confirmed that Chelsea don't want to loan Lukaku out again and want him to stay along with Courtois. Interesting

Also Marc Wimots said Chelsea will look to sell Cech if possible. Not that he will know anything but it does seem the logical option. Monaco would be a good destination

Ever since goal.com ran a story which said "Di Maria set to sign for Chelsea" this despite him only signing for Real Madrid a week prior i stopped believing them.
 
Goal.com come up with so much rubbish as they make money on people clicking the site after reading the headline exclusive which normally is far from what is going on. I cant remember what player or team it was but they said in an exclusive the player would not be joining a certain club. That was a day after he signed for the said certain club.

Well I checked the article on DailyMail. All the tabloids ran the story with original source as goal.com
 
Seems like Tiago is about to re join on a 2 year contract. Also rumours he will eventually become Mourinhos number 2 as Rui Faria apparently has plans to become a manager.

Think he is very good depth for a free transfer. He had a good season last year and is also pretty close mates with Diego Costa
 
I don't expect him to play much at all. But having experience heads as depth is always good especially if we are struck by an injury crisis or something. Also getting him on free, we have nothing to lose. Hope we wrap up Costa and Luis deals quickly. Apparently our reluctance to pay additional taxes on the buy-out clause is holding us back but should be resolved soon. Both players very much want the move
 
Mark Schwarzer signs a new 1 year contract extension. I imagine that's the end of Cech. I think Monaco would be an excellent destination for him. Hoping for a fee in the region of £10m ... He is still an excellent goalkeeper with a lot of years left at the top and would probably be open to a move back to France
