Yes, sir, he was. That's what I'm saying. Milito was never actually world-class, but Jose made him a beast and he scored more goals that season than any other before that. Costa can be the same for us next season.
 
Tbh, I would love to see United winning the title, but that's unrealistic. Van Gaal would need some masterpiece to do that. Simply top3 is good enough for majority sane United fans.

Hilario just left so maybe Schwarzer is new third choice. I can still see Cech staying until next summer.

Pretty sure that will be LVG target next season. Top four finish and perhaps maybe winning one of the cups along the way will be a good first season for him. Well even just a top four finish alone will be pretty good but I'm sure utd fans would like to see the club lift the fa cup for example which you haven't won in god knows how many years now.
 
Been a weird transfer window not seeing City being linked with everybody for a change. FFP will defo hurt them! Chelsea and UTD have signed some good players so far already.

And Sanga, but we were never gonna go crazy again anyway, the plan always ws shell out 2/3 seasons on the nucleus of thee squad, then buy as needed, the plan from the owners taking over is about a year ahead of schedule from the inital 5-10 year layout. Id expect a CB, maybe a striker if Negrado leaves. but nothing major. The investmen of 500mil in the academy and local area has taken up most of the summer plan spending. FFP was a minor factor in what we were planning really.

Fernando is really good actually, bit more than a solid player. Good all-rounder, tenacious battler, and crucially only 26 but with a whole load of experience. He's an investment for the future with Yaya getting on (or perhaps getting out) and Fernandinho pushing 30. It's a good signing really considering the next player up after Fernandinho and Yaya is Javi Garcia.

Bruno Zuculini's an interesting one. Good technical youngster. Won't feature much this season though I'd say.
 
Fernando is good battler agree but have seen him a lot this season and his passing was fairly poor and prone to the odd reckless challenge/error wont ever be good enough to replace Yaya or Fernandinho. But yes I was a bit harsh calling him solid, defo good signing like you said its either him or Garcia.

Not sure that's good enough. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is very good at his limited skills, but he'll forever be behind Van Persie because all-round performance trumps only finishing every time.
 
Filipe Luis deal has stopped in it's tracks as apparently Atletico want £24m which is too much ... We can get Moreno or Rodriguez for less
