Willian's goal earlier was ******* great. Illustrates what I was saying earlier about this Chelsea side being able to just turn on the style at will.

Starting to run out of superlatives for Chelsea already this season and its only November! What a half of football!

The first side that manages to pick up a win against us this season will get a round of applause from me if I'm at the game. We are going to take some stopping.

It'll be a big side away from home. We'll play the odds and get beaten 1-0 and everyone will come in and criticise our negative football despite counter attacking having worked well for us in all the big games for ages now.

Its actually a joke how good we are at the moment!!!

Will say amazing touch by the Schalke supporters cheering Schurrle when he came on. Remembering their World Cup hero's even though their side is 5-0 down, that's how you put country before club England take note!

They were comically bad but we were in cruise control for half the match.

Is there any best midfield combo in Europe better than the Fabregas + Matic pivot at the moment?

After witnessing our best 45minutes yet on Saturday i said i still pinch myself to see whether this is real. Fast forward 3 days and not only do we top that 45 we keep it going got a full 90minutes!!! When people asked me who has been your best Chelsea manager and the best football you have seen my answer has always been Ancelotti the double year in 2010. And that is under threat for me! The football we have been treated to this season is just something else it really is!

The early goal settled it for us i believe, always lovely seeing JT score a goal and yes again another Cesc Fabregas assist! I felt Costa had a night where everything he tried just wasn't coming off for him but besides that to a man everyone was absolutely sensational.

I'd question if there is a better central midfield partnership in world football than Matic and Fabregas right now. Fabregas tonight was man of the match for me. he picked up another 2 assists (goals 1 and 3) and 2 key passes (passes which were key in a goal scoring chance) with his two long balls from deep for goals 4 and 5. Again i keep coming back to this but when we signed Cesc in the summer i said i believed he would be the best signing this club had made for over 5 years and i still stand by that.

Always lovely to see Drogba on the score sheet and his celebration going to the bench just shows the harmony within the squad right now. We will get beat at some point this season that's almost a given, but we will not be beaten much that is also a given.

I'll leave with two things from social media tonight which will just make us all chuckle.

A Liverpool supporting friend on my Facebook "It's only Schalke"

A Man City fan on Twitter "Lampard looks happier here than he ever did at Chelsea"

Goodnight all and keep enjoying this sensational football team we currently have!

UTC!!!

Just going to add this in here because for years me and most of us have been saying we needed someone who can dictate the game from deep. A deep lying playmaker in mandatory when playing in a 4-2-3-1 system and we nearly got one back in 2011 when AVB tried to sign Modric. That never materialized and i was very annoyed up until this summer when we signed Fabregas, his numbers tonight shows just what he does.

Long Balls - 17
Accurate Long Balls - 14
Through Balls - 3
Accurate Through Balls - 2

Best signing in years!

Remember when people were saying Fabregas wouldn't be able to play a deeper role with discipline? Eating their words now surely

Oh and people can say what they want about Busquets/Mascherano, based on current form, their is no better DM in the world than Matic

I love him already man. I literally love him(pure football reasons). What a player.

Although Pirlo is still my all time favourite 'maestro' (and probably will remain forever).

Inevitably, we will encounter a bad run of form when nothing goes our way. That's when we will see the true colours of this side

So a couple of interesting tidbits ..

1. Apparently Steve Clarke is being considered for the assistant manager role at Villa. If he is willing to work in the backroom again, I would love to have him back at Chelsea. An absolutely superb defensive coach who was integral to Mourinho during his first reign

2. Villa apparently looking to cash in on Fabian Delph before his contract expires this summer. Could be a player to look at because he has become a pretty good player and he is English which will help us with our homegrown quota problems

1. YES

2. No. Barkley>>

One of those games where Hazard doesn't turn up and we look a bit stuck for ideas. Perfect chance for Schurrle or Remy to come in on that left hand side and add something a bit different.

Not happy about the score, but let's be honest, we had no real chance to score. Bad game, lets win the next one.

**** performance. Deserved draw for Sunderland. Hopefully this gives the boys a good wake up call before the crucial Christmas period

On the bright side, Southampton or City definitely dropping points tomorrow

Agreed mate. Sunderland defended deep and narrow and we ran out of ideas and looked sluggish. Perhaps due to playing the same team thrice in a row
