This is genuinely a shocking performance. Inexcusable. Mourinho needs to sort this **** out. Never thought we could be beaten like this

As bad as our defence has been, shocking finishing too. Just all round ****.

Looks like our entire defense woke up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning. Hopefully we use this as a springboard. Remember what Fergie did after United got beat 6-0 by City? He went on and won the next 6 games. This team needs to give a similar response if they want to be champions

Not even sure where to start. Some of the players have been playing too much. Some of our squad players are simply not stepping up. Remy is being under utilized for no reason whatsoever. Defense is shocking. Attack is shocking. Just one of those days when the **** hits the fan I suppose and everything goes wrong

As controversial as this might be, have we actually be that great this year? Everyone's talking about how unstoppable we look etc etc, but how true is that really? We threw away leads in big games, have laboured breaking teams down again, have generally struggled with our finishing (Costa is a bit of an exception) and have struggled when teams have really gone at us with pace and through balls. Sound familiar?

We only have Arsenal to play away till the season ends, which would classify as a hard game.
Meanwhile, City still has Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool, United and Spurs.
We are tied on points, it's not the end of the world.
Yes this game was a total ****-up, but it wasn't the first, and it sure as **** won't be the last. I still believe 100% that the title is ours to take.

Think you are stretching it too far

1. Yes we did throw leads away in big games against Manchester clubs. One was against United when we were down to 10 men due to a crazy red card. The other was against the best team in the league other than is at their stadium. It's understandable if annoying and I don't remember this being a perpetual problem from last season

2. Labored breaking teams down? Maybe in a couple of games but I have seen so many games where we would have lost last season because of the way the opposing side set up and we won this season because of the way we have improved (Eg. at home to west ham, away to stoke)

3. Poor finishing? Not too sure honestly. Hard to say we haven't improved since the dark days of Torres and Eto'o. More to be desired obviously but we haven't been that bad surely

4. Curiously I don't understand why we surrender the initiative whenever we have the lead. This is maybe why we always look like we are hanging on for dear life sometimes in games

We definitely are much better than last season but the media also made us look better than we were. Mourinho's constant effusive praise and lack of rotation hasn't helped. Neither has the fact that some players (Remy) are inexplicably being frozen out, some are not on form (Schurrle, Salah) and others are perhaps just not good enough (Cahill)

Hopefully we learn our lesson and give a proper response. Still top of the league but can't slip up now

My solace today comes from seeing Everyon struggle this season. Wonder how Romelu 'Complete Striker' Lukaku is feeling

Frank Lampard lambasted by football fans in New York after snubbing them to stay at Man City - Telegraph

Its his choice obviously but it certainly makes those who subscribe to the theory that he was only there to 'keep fit' look foolish now. Unfortunately, he has lost some respect in my eyes but all the best to him. He will probably get jeered badly if he ever does okay for New York City FC

Must say i'm very disappointed in Lampard here. Couldn't care less he is staying etc but think its very unprofessional from one of the most professional players i have ever seen. Feel for New York, i'd cancel his contract out of spite now.

First of all as much as we hate them i believe in giving credit where credits due and Spurs were magnificent today. Missed the first half as i was at work/coming home but Chadli was exceptional and Kane who i praised when we beat them 3-0 last month was outstanding today.

We all know what happens now don't we, everyone starts going over the top coming up with what went wrong and what we need to change. I personally think this sort of this has been coming for a couple of weeks now. 2 wins (Stoke and Derby) away from home in our last 6 matches something is not right at the moment. Fabregas playing in the 2 in midfield he has been exposed defensively at times already and that along with 3 of our back 4 (Ivanovic, Cahill and Azpilicueta) being out of form of late it was a recipe for disaster. Despite Jose and many aiming their anger at Dowd (a ref i am not a fan of) i didn't feel he got much wrong today actually and he was the reason we got spanked today. Hindsight is a wonderful thing i agree but can't help but think we would have been far more tighter with Mikel in the 2 and Fabregas playing further forward like he did at Stoke, i fully expect to see this happen more now away from home.

So what happens now? Do we make wholesale changes? Personally i wouldn't. With the exception of Cahill who i believe needs to be taken out the firing line for a game or 3 i'd play the same squad. Reason being i think its time to see just how much this squad wants this, time to test their mentality.

My god 2015 sucks! This hurts, fingers crossed it hurt the players too!

On Frank I'm sure some non Chelsea fans came on here in the past saying he seems more like he cares about himself and individual honours rather than the club at the time I laughed it off but now I think he is really showing that. I could not imagine JT anywhere near one of our title rivals and before anyone says well he rumoured to be interested in a move to city in 2009 well he didn't go did he and has been our most dedicated and passionate player ever since I can remember.

I'm not saying that we're not good. I'm saying that I think most people are still massively overrating us. We're better than before but still far from the finished article. I think we're essentially agreeing here mate.

Why? We let him go and he had a chance to play in another team challenging for the title and in the CL. Fair play to the guy, you can't expect him to go **** off to some backwater (sorry MLS) league when he has that kind of chance, just out of a sense of loyalty. Even if he scores 3 past us at the Bridge and wins City the title, he'll still be a Chelsea legend.

It hurts to see his name on their scoresheet but I'm not going to hold it against him.

I still class him as a legend what he done for the club can never be tarnished it just hurts as you say and I can't respect him whilst he is in a city shirt but once he is no longer at the club I am sure I will love him again as I did during his Chelsea days. Also it is my opinion all of our great players have been long term servants some very great ones at that and have become legends like Lampard
But there is only one who is really mr Chelsea and who has blue blood running through his veins and that mans name is John George Terry.

Yes.

Being a Chelsea legend doesn't necessarily mean being a 'Mr Chelsea' (Chelsea through and through). Ashley Cole is a Chelsea legend too and he's not a Mr Chelsea. Granted, the meaning of the word 'legend' has changed so much in the recent years.

Lampard is a ******* professional people. He wants to do what he does best at a top club. I really wish he didn't score that goal againts us though. It hurt me for a while. :)

Looking at my post again I admit I probably did over react just a bit through anger of the results today. Just so painful to see one of Chelsea's greatest players who I never expected to see play for another top club in England after us doing so well for our main title rivals

Which is normal. I was angry too. It's just not Lampard's fault we played like **** in all the games we lost points.

We are still up there with City for the title and let's see if Jose brings another CB this month. Will be interesting.

A few photos of David Luiz apparently smoking weed whilst signing shirts for fans during his time at Chelsea have been spreading on twitter haha. Would like to say I am surprised but looking at Luiz it really isn't but also then again would he really be stupid enough to smoke it infront of fans?
