As bad as our defence has been, shocking finishing too. Just all round ****.
Cahill should be off the pitch anyway to be honest, kicking Harry Kane by the touchline when he was on the floor.
As controversial as this might be, have we actually be that great this year? Everyone's talking about how unstoppable we look etc etc, but how true is that really? We threw away leads in big games, have laboured breaking teams down again, have generally struggled with our finishing (Costa is a bit of an exception) and have struggled when teams have really gone at us with pace and through balls. Sound familiar?
We only have Arsenal to play away till the season ends, which would classify as a hard game.
Meanwhile, City still has Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool, United and Spurs.
We are tied on points, it's not the end of the world.
Yes this game was a total ****-up, but it wasn't the first, and it sure as **** won't be the last. I still believe 100% that the title is ours to take.
Frank Lampard lambasted by football fans in New York after snubbing them to stay at Man City - Telegraph
Its his choice obviously but it certainly makes those who subscribe to the theory that he was only there to 'keep fit' look foolish now. Unfortunately, he has lost some respect in my eyes but all the best to him. He will probably get jeered badly if he ever does okay for New York City FC
Think you are stretching it too far
On Frank I'm sure some non Chelsea fans came on here in the past saying he seems more like he cares about himself and individual honours rather than the club at the time I laughed it off but now I think he is really showing that. I could not imagine JT anywhere near one of our title rivals and before anyone says well he rumoured to be interested in a move to city in 2009 well he didn't go did he and has been our most dedicated and passionate player ever since I can remember.
Why? We let him go and he had a chance to play in another team challenging for the title and in the CL. Fair play to the guy, you can't expect him to go **** off to some backwater (sorry MLS) league when he has that kind of chance, just out of a sense of loyalty. Even if he scores 3 past us at the Bridge and wins City the title, he'll still be a Chelsea legend.
It hurts to see his name on their scoresheet but I'm not going to hold it against him.
I still class him as a legend what he done for the club can never be tarnished it just hurts as you say and I can't respect him whilst he is in a city shirt but once he is no longer at the club I am sure I will love him again as I did during his Chelsea days. Also it is my opinion all of our great players have been long term servants some very great ones at that and have become legends like Lampard
But there is only one who is really mr Chelsea and who has blue blood running through his veins and that mans name is John George Terry.
Yes.
Being a Chelsea legend doesn't necessarily mean being a 'Mr Chelsea' (Chelsea through and through). Ashley Cole is a Chelsea legend too and he's not a Mr Chelsea. Granted, the meaning of the word 'legend' has changed so much in the recent years.
Lampard is a ******* professional people. He wants to do what he does best at a top club. I really wish he didn't score that goal againts us though. It hurt me for a while.![]()
Looking at my post again I admit I probably did over react just a bit through anger of the results today. Just so painful to see one of Chelsea's greatest players who I never expected to see play for another top club in England after us doing so well for our main title rivals
