LMAO...Classic mourinho

Even as a united fan, i laughed hard at that speech...

Particularly the one about the team with possession!...HAHA!...

Anyways, i forgot to congratulate chelsea on the title...

They were by far, the best team on the land this season...

But you won't find it so easy next season...;)

Chelsea thread these days reminds you of the United thread 3-4 years ago ... Literally no cause for concern :P

I'll bite, wouldn't go that far, Chelsea have reasons to be concerned for next season United, City and Arsenal will be stronger in terms of personnel.

Fabregas needs to address his tendancy to totally drop off in the second half of a season form wise or else that could cost you if it's tighter next season. Oscar looks a shadow of what he once was, need a new striker and good alternative for Matic. Basically another good box to box midfielder such as Pogba or Schneiderlin.

Undoubtedly been the best team this season but lets not forget in reality everyone thought you should win it at the start as you had the strongest squad overall. Next season I think will be your real test as I can't see any of the top 4 not improving significantly.

Of course we have concerns just like any other team except they pale in comparison to those of our closest rivals

My only concern so far is, why on earth are we in for Falcao?

I know it's a risk and at United this season it definitely looked as though he was missing that "sparkle" (Similar to Torres after his injury) but it all boils down to the fee involved and his wages. If we can get him for around £20m to £30m and he's willing to cut his wages down to £100k-£150k I'd be happy with that, anything more and Falcao can look elsewhere.

Monaco and Mendes aren't exactly in a great position to demand a massive fee or wage for Falcao from us either given his performances for United this season. Also they'll be dealing with Marina Granovskaia who's one mean negotiator.

The fall of falcao...

Back in his atletico day where clubs would jump and shell out 500k per week just to sign him

Nah. Realistically, Chelsea, who will strengthen, only have Citeh to worry about as a serious challenger.

Arsenal are still 3 or 4 top class players away from a consistent challenge; and Utd are as far away as Tottenham or Liverpool.

It'll be a 2 horse race again next season.

Then you don't remember United thread from that time at all. There was never a moment where there was no concern at United thread. It was always about lack of midfielders in the team, Evra, Rooney's contract, Vidic and Rio's injury and Nani's form. Always a concern and always big scope for improvement.

Personally, I still think it's a shitload of money. We have Costa as number one, keep Remy and possibly Bamford, and I think we're set. Remy has proved that he is a good back-up. If they weren't injured most of the times simultaneously, we wouldn't even be having talks of strikers. In my opinion we don't need one, if we keep Bamford. If we don't, the we sure as **** don't need one as expensive as Falcao.

If we were to get him for around £20m-£30m l don't think it's that much when you look at it; Salah, Moses and Cech going out would easily fund the move for him. Yes we don't necessarily need another striker but Falcao is certainly an upgrade to Remy and if we're fighting on all fronts next season I believe we'll need someone who's better than Remy, which Falcao most certainly is. You mention Bamford but having watched a lot of him this season I don't think he's anywhere near ready to pull on a Chelsea shirt and in my opinion he's overhyped, I'd much rather see us give Solanke a chance in the first team to be honest.

I have to disagree with you on this, there is no way United are as far away from challenging Chelsea for the title as Liverpool or Tottenham. I won't go into the reasons why because frankly there is too many and the league table tells the story anyway.

Regarding Arsenal, personally think they are close need 2 quality additions in key areas but that could be done in this window easily if they pull their finger out.

Finally I think you're wrong about City, their squad IMO needs a lot more work than both United and Arsenal, plus they are going to struggle badly with FFP which won't help. They have an ageing squad which needs quite a lot of investment. I'd say personally United are probably 3 key signings away from challenging next season, midfield, defence (CB,RB) and maybe even 4 (goalkeeper) if De Gea goes.

That's a heck of an assertion considering Utd barely squeaked home in 4th last year which had as much to do with how poorly and how much of a backward step Liverpool, Tottenham and even Everton took IMHO as it did Utd improving. Heck, from the win at Anfield on Utd held the door WIDE open just begging Liverpool to jump back in. The fact they didn't tells far more about their disgraceful late season attitude than anything. Take De Gea out of the equation, and Utd are struggling to make the top 4 even with the other 2 being in such a putrid state last year.

Don't get me wrong. I aren't for one minute suggesting Liverpool and Tottenham are anywhere near challenging. But when I say Utd are as far away it's precisely down to none of the three are going to be coming close any time soon all things being equal. As you so pertinently said, the league table tells the story and that's a 6 win swing from 4th to 1st.

Arsenal still desperately need a goalkeeper, a dominating ball winner in the middle, and a consistent #9. Not to mention reinforcements at the back which is still the weak link. On their day, they're still as good as anyone if not the best team in the Country. But those days don't happen enough over the season on a consistent basis.

City should be solid by slowly rebuilding the next few years. They only need to add 1 or 2 marquee signings each term. The bulk of an albeit ageing squad is still only around the 29/30 YO mark. And they're putting themselves in a great position as regards FFP. Even more so if they want to stand up and challenge UEFA. Debts completely wiped out. Totally self sufficient. Wage bill slashed. The new TV deal slashing their working deficit. Off load one or two of the high earners and they should be well within the confines of whatever UEFA decide for the new FFP limit.

It'll be interesting to revisit this at this time next year, but as currently stand, I can't see much of any change to how things played out last season.

You might be right and Utd may be turning it around. I just think your personally letting your heart rule your head and you're not nearly as close to Chelsea (as much as I hate to admit it because I have for more dislike for them than yourselves) than you believe you are.

Are you high?...

We have a better squad compared to liverpool and spuds...so that is obviously not true

Oscar will get the whole summer off which will be his first since joining us so i can only see him improving on his consistency next season. The thing is we were by far the best side this season so not only does everyone need to try and catch this years Chelsea we will also improve so you are trying to play major catch up.

I look at it a totally different way, for me Falcao is a penalty box striker who needs service around the 12 yards in-wards and with Utd he struggled to get that or even a run of matches. If he comes to us he will be working with the best medical department in the sports industry and getting the service he needs. Lets not forget we have Costa who managed 20 goals despite missing a large chunk of last season, Remy who seems to score every time he plays so we can take a punt on Falcao and i'd be delighted if we did.
